Project Life 2012 | Week Fourteen

Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Fourteen.

This was one of those weeks that I just wanted to get finished up. I definitely could've added more accessories, but I ended up wanting/needing to spend my time on some other projects I've got in the works. The result is a super simple, photo + stuff heavy week.

Here's a look at the left side:

The top right was cut out from Martha Stewart magazine.

Definitely more smaller-sized photos this week. No particular reason why, just ended up that way.

On the right side I included some photos that Chris sent over from Easter morning and a couple pieces of crepe streamers that he had attached to their Easter baskets.

Journal card includes my new Hello Routine stamps.

For Easter dinner this year my parents were here and picked up Chinese food. Very non-traditional but it was just right for this year - especially the moment that Simon realized he "does" like Chinese food (at least the sweet & sour chicken without the sweet & sour sauce)

It is great that you started a new "tradition" with you Easter dinner. And wow! that Simon tried chinese food! My sons would never try that - I have two fussy eaters - that goes along with autism. It is important with life changes to change some things up a bit and make new traditions along the way! I am happy for you that Chris is cooperative - my ex sadly, is not.

That's how all of my weeks look! :) It may not be as pretty to look at when you view it as a spread, but I think when you look at each piece independently it's all good and just enjoyable to see the pictures/memories. :) (Or at least that's what I tell myself...) :P

The thing I love about "just get it done" weeks is that they become a part of the whole - the whole year, the whole project. This is my first year wth PL and already I love looking back and seeing the first quarter year (yes!) in perspective.
Ali, I commented a few weeks back about how inspired I am by your 'keeping it real approach' - good with the not so good. As I look back over our hard weeks I also see that we have managed to fit in some fun and a lot of loving. I would never have looked back at February and March 2012 and realised this without Project Life. It helps me keep moving forward.
    Thanks again

I like the simple weeks just as much!! Great job having text on the photos, love that idea. How cute those crepe paper notes are, great idea and nice for you to include them.

Great job for Simon and his new food! Funny my sister went to chinese with girlfriends, she shares holidays with her ex also. She said it is popular on Easter and the place was packed.

Your timing couldn't be more perfect. I'm a month (eeek!) behind...life just got super busy...and have been feeling a little defeated. After seeing how beautifly-perfect your pages have turned out...while staying simple...seems like something I may be able to tackle to catch up. Thanks so much for your help {wink} and inspiration! :)

The shot of you, the flowers, food favs - and acquiring new tastes. Great. Pushing through new times in a 'new climate' - that seems good to collect/reflect on. Lovely colors in this kit are good for this I think.

My husband is still a picky eater at 25 (yup, we're a couple of young love birds) and he also only likes the sweet & sour chicken without the sweet & sour sauce! Simon has good taste :)

I'm extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog.
Is this a paid theme or did you customize it
yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing,
it's rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
