The Weekend Lens
11 AM | Arrive in Seattle. Find Paolo. Find Cathy. Head to Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge for lunch. We let Paolo order because that's one of his talents.
1 PM | Head to B&O Espresso for dessert and coffee.
3 PM | Back to the airport to meet up with Stacy, Kayce, Tracey and Mark. Head downtown to Pike Place Market and the Pier.
I will never, ever tire of large bouquets of all one sort of flower.
Ever.
7:30 PM | Dinner at the Space Needle.
Insane views. Wonderful company. Delicious food. Very special friends.
A city full of so many memories for me throughout of my life.
9 AM | A short walk before work. Brainstorming, collaborating, sharing, imagining, dreaming.
So thankful for short creative field trips. So thankful for the change of scenery and the opportunity to connect with friends and colleagues in person. So thankful for plane rides, even short ones that offer a quick nap or a great time for creative reading (sometimes it's books about creativity and sometimes it's a guilty pleasure like US Weekly) or time to brainstorm ideas that have been floating around for weeks or years. So thankful to work with people who are also very dear friends. So thankful for conversations and collaborations and the sharing of a message that words and photos mean something.
I'm so glad you had a wonderful weekend.

I've never been to Seattle, but it's one of the places I have to visit in life... I don't know what it is about it, but it's always been a place I'd love to wander around. So glad you had a chance to relax and rejuvenate!

It sounds like you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with so many lovely folks! How'd you get all those scrappin'folks in the same place, at the same time? And Paolo, too, of course....he does tend to be where the action is.
LOL - the funny thing this time is that the action came to him! He didn't have to go anywhere.

I want to visit Seattle! :) Glad you had a wonderful weekend with friends~ it's important to take care of you too right now. And, what would we do without friends and family~ always important, but esp. so when we are facing a bump in the road of life. Been there~ you are now alone in your journey...sometimes it's so good just to know that others have been down the road and there is joy and healing and love and laughter on the other side!
That should have been NOT alone in your journey...I should take your writing class...might learn to proof read before I post. :)

Seattle is definitely a favorite for me. Love the market. Love the coffee shops. Love that it's ok to leisurely stroll with a cup of coffee through the market (and buy those little cinnamon doughnuts from that old little stand).

Hi Ali, so glad you had a wonderful time with cherished friends, sounds like you had some well deserved time out for you, its great your getting back into your books, have you ever read the book that came out a few years ago now called THE SECRET, This book pulled me through a very difficult time of my life, its such a positive read, you might have already read it, but if not, give it a shot one day when you have time.

Ali, i feel it is important to inform you that your photo of your "dessert and coffee" looks dangerously like a martini. #5oclock somewhere! :-)

LOVE Toulouse Petit. We ate breakfast everyone morning (4) when we were in Seattle last year. Our hotel was only a block from there. YUM!
