Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Seven.
As life evolves around here I’m working to find that sweet-spot for including my story and our story (me + the kids) in Project Life.
I’m in a really good place right now. I’m happy and feeling alive in ways that have been dormant for a long time. I want to include pieces of that in this album along with documenting what’s happening with Simon and Anna and our summer adventures. I’m finding space here for all those roles and all those stories, even if it’s just touching the surface. What it really makes me want to do is create layouts that tell more of the story (working on making that happen).
Here’s a look at week Twenty-Seven:
This was the week of the 4th of July and my weekend adventure to Portland with friends.
I used one of my Circles Of Life digital brushes on my 4th of July photo before printing.
Little banner on the bottom left photo is from Basic Grey’s new Paper Cottage chipboard collection (super cute).

Project Life is a product and a system created by Becky Higgins. It can be anything you want it to be. The pieces used in my album are available here. Hi Ali, as always, your PL is wonderful, glad to hear you say that you are in a happy place, good on you girl
Love your layout, as usual!
I love that photo of Anna with her hands on her hips so cute…..
Love your Project Life layouts as always! You are looking fabulous, too! You mentioned that you were doing focusing on your arms recently…would you mind sharing what exercises you do? Thanks!
Looks like an exciting week! Love the 4th pic… Looks cool with the circle label and letters
I too lOVE the photo of Anna…oh she is so darling! I miss my little girl (18yrs. now) being that little. Was like it was yesterday. SO happy you are in a “good” place. Can ya tell me how to get there!??? And as always your PL is awesome!
You look so happy!!!
I love the simple titles directly on the photos. And the photos themselves, of course.
I’ve been including a lot of 8.5 x 11 traditional pages as inserts to my weeks to get more story in. Those pages are usually really word focused.
P.S. Have you had a chance to check out the Project Life Challenge Series on the Big Picture Classes Blog yet? http://www.bigpictureclasses.com/blog/cat/54/challenges/.html
Ali, you are amazing and I have to say that pic of you in the navy dress is absolutely stunning, you are glowing!!! Thanks for being a constant source of inspiration in all things. x
I second that: you look so pretty!
nice as always, but I have to say , you are stunning with long hair!
One of the best parts of PL for me is the fact that I am able to capture the small snippits of a story that I then can go back and tell more completely in a layout. It’s almost like my “notes” for the full layouts I like to do!
I agree! It’s like a chronlogical library that we can draw from for other layouts, projects.
Love following your project life
Thanks for sharing your stories
In your self portraits you seem to smiling bigger
I need to remember to take some of those myself
A really big hooray for you, Ali!
You look radiant! I’m happy you are happy.
Ali,
I have been following you blog for years, and I have to say you truly look like you are glowing in the last couple of weeks. I am so happy to see you happy! Keep making those happy memories, life’s way too short not to! Cheers!
Boy, I’m glad that gorgeous, smiling blonde in the adorable navy sundress was able to escape the clutches of Jack Sparrow! ***wink*** You look stunning, Ali!
I, too, have noticed your glow in the photos recently! What’s your trick?? : )
