Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Six

Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Six.

In case you missed it, Becky has a big update on her blog about upcoming Project Life product releases. Love seeing all those new page protectors.

This week I was really having fun writing directly on my photos with a Slick Writer (often combined with text printed on the photo).

Love the freedom of writing right on there - especially when I'd like to add more photos to the overall spread.

Here's a look at our week:

"Photo Love" is part of a new stamp set that's coming soon from Technique Tuesday. You can grab the digital version here: Photo Love.

"Happy Day" sticker is from American Crafts Fresh Squeezed Sticker Sheet and is paired with 1/2 a Tiny Label from Elle's Studio.

Added a little Elle's Studio journal card to the top of Anna's letter B worksheet.

That "sat" jounraling card is a new paper product that will be available to you very soon as a set from Technique Tuesday. Right now you can grab it as a digital file here: Hello Life Boxes.

Summer Outline Banner on that top photo.

Added a bit of computer text + a chipboard strip of text from My Mind's Eye on the photo of Simon and Anna running on the beach.

Rockyabye Mistable Alpha + Elle's Studio "oh happy day" on the bottom photo.

I always laugh when you write about using pens to write on top of the pictures because until you point it out, I always think that it is either your font or one of the Designer Digitals projects that you have.

Great pages! Love how the colours work out. Is it something you keep in mind when taking photo's or does it just happen to work so wonderfully?

It's not really something I think about at all - but love when it happens that it comes together really nice.

Ali-I don't know if you follow The Mom Creative Blog but she had a link there to another blog and it shows how to create an Olympic event for Legos. I know Simon is a big fan - maybe a great rainy day idea. Here's the link

    Ali,

When I started Project Life for the first time this year it never occurred to me that I would actually need more than one album until I saw your post a while back saying that you typically have to divide yours into three albums. Do you have any tips on how you make a smooth transition between the albums. For example, do you split a weekly spread or have an end/starting page for each individual album?

Thanks for always sharing so much about your process!

I'm curious about Anna's swimsuit in the lesson pic. Is she wearing a suit with sleeves? If she is I'd love to know what brand it is! Thanks! :)

Looks like the kids are having a fabulous summer. :) I love all the details that your adding to the photos. I'm experimenting with that more now to give me more room for more photos. This week ends my first album!! I'm so glad it worked out 6 months to one album. I'm not sure how to end it though. Did you ever complete your final page? I remember reading you were thinking of a whole photo.

Hi Ali - another amazing, inspiring week! I am absolutely loving participating in Project Life, but am wondering if you might have any tips on photographing the layouts each week. I am finding it a bit difficult to photograph the layouts with enough light, but trying to avoid a distracting glare on the page protectors. Any tips you have would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi Ali,

I just love your pages and always seem to draw inspiration from them. I'm on my third year of Project Life, and this year have gone digital. I was inspired by how you add text to photos, and have done this a few times, and really love the effect.

Can you tell me which font you use - the all caps one I see on these pages? And do you have any tricks to make the text condense together?
    Thanks!
    Maria

Hi Ali, I just recently discovered the whole Project Life thing and love it. I've been scrapping the traditional way for years but life has gotten crazier and I never seem to find time to do it. I want to do PL, can I just start it in the middle of the year and then do weekly layouts from here on? Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous layouts with us!!

Hello just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading properly. I'm
not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.
