Project Life 2012 | Week Thirty-Four
Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Thirty-Four.
All caught up. Hoping to stay that way for at least the next few weeks until I travel again in October (Hello Ireland).
Nothing earth shattering. Just photos and words and a few little tid-bits added for interest.
Simon had a tough week so I wrote a bit about that experience.
We received a postcard from my sister and niece so I added that to a page protector from the Big Variety Pack 1 (it holds 4, 6x6 photos and I cut it down to just one.
I stapled it in place because it's a bit smaller than the pocket.
3x4 Thick Journal Cards cut with a Silhouette and then adhered onto a white cardstock background. Those little letter stickers are from Basic Grey.
Lots of writing on my photos again with a Slick Writer.
Martha Stewart Glitter on top of American Crafts DIY Shoebox Thickers. Have you tried these yet? They have adhesive on the back (to stick onto your project) and adhesive on the front (that you peel off). Once you peel off the top layer you can apply glitter, micro beads, tinsel, etc. Pretty cool stuff.

I can't wait to get my kit so I can get started. It looks fun.

Congrats on being caught up...you do a great job keeping that way! So happy you had a great week...and better days are ahead for Simon! I plan to take my daughter to Universal Studios in Orlando once the crowds die down - maybe keep her out of school for a day in October (we live in Florida) -- so I can take her to the Harry Potter attraction when she can enjoy it. Crowds = frustration in her world.

Oh this is a nice surprise... I somehow thought Monday's post was last week's. Great to see 2 PL's in one week! Always my highlight on your blog.

Love the simplicity of your pages Ali! My girls like to watch me put make up on too (which is rare for me). My youngest calls it my "fierce" look (lol).
ps...love the growth chart in Anna's closet. we've been keeping track of my youngest the same way...every new season she gets measured. it's so crazy how fast they grow:)

Do you know if your journal cards would work with a Cricut? Thanks.
Hi Margrett - not sure which ones you are thinking of? Some of these are digital products and others are sold as packs of cards (physical product). Can you give me more details? I don't have a Cricut so I don't know too much about it but I'd be happy to find out.
Sorry, I was asking about the digital products. I have just started PL and want to incorporate my Cricut. I may just buy a set of digital cards and try it out. Thank you. Love your PL and blog.

AWESOME.
LOL! I have only been counting the weeks until Ireland! But my passport came today so I am READY to go!!! I was so afraid that something would happen and I wouldn't get it in time. Now I can relax...except for all the work I have to get done at my office before I leave. ;o)

Ali, I'm glad you wrote about Simon having a bad week/day/hour/whatever, everything always seems so rosy with you and I know it can't be (because if it were I'd be a complete failure!). I also love cold pizza (feel free to share that with him), and I love that he looks like Indiana Jones in that outfit with the hat! I hope he has a wonderful school year! DH went back Monday, kids start next Tuesday, he has 20 or 21 so far, 8 of them LD (which now includes kids "on the spectrum"). That isn't even all the LD kids in 5th grade! But he did get the "highest percentage" kids. Charlie started today, only 3 more semesters of classes then it's all dissertation! Sarah is living in NY now so we mostly miss her.
Oh, first day of school traditions -- we go out to dinner! The kids can give their impressions of their teachers -- of course, now it's just the two of us so I get to hear his impressions of the students! XO, Mary

Love that you include the tough stuff as well as the celebration stuff.
That's what's real.

When you cut down the page protectors, do you sew them to make them fit? And if so, how do you sew them? Each time I sew them, they threat won't stay in.

Ali, you always inspire me. Love what you did with the chipboard letters and glitter. I've got a huge pack of them left over from another project. Thanks for sharing a cool way to incorporate them into Project Life.

Ali, I love seeing what you do with project life and am completely inspired to try it this next year! Totally random and had nothing to do with scrapbooling, but where did that lovely green and white duvet cover come from? I love the print on it.
