Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Nine

Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Nine.

A catch-up week. Catch-up weeks are not my favorite, but I'm making it happen.

My life is full and I'm feeling especially thankful as I put this week together.

Still totally love this project.

I'm doing a lot of text directly on the photos - whether it's handwritten (using a Wacom tablet) or type. I like adding enlarged handwritten words/phrases and adjusting the opacity so you can see through the words onto the photo.

On the back of a journaling card (all my new Story Cards from Technique Tuesday have a printed back) I stamped "shine on" from my Bring On The Sun set.

The red chipboard letters that say "katie rocks" are from Basic Grey's Paper Cottage set and are sitting on top of the green set of Observations Story Cards.

I included one 6x12 insert this week that features my post "Ring That Bell" on the front (about Simon's accomplishment at gymnastics). I used one of my 6x12 Words And Photos Layered Templates for the journaling and photo. Check out a full post and tutorial about working with those layered templates here.

and a photo of him and Chris on the back. I printed the 6x12 photo here at home using an Epson R2000 printer and 13 x 19 photo paper.

The "this is life" story card is part of my new collection for Technique Tuesday and can be found here.

I used my Silhouette to cut out some new Thick 3x4 Journal Cards.

I adhered the die cut journal card onto a piece of white cardstock. I used the Xyron Creative Station to add adhesive to the back of the die cut.

On to Week 30 - vacation week!

Very inspiring, as always. I have really taken to heart the idea of writing on the photos, love that. I'm about to do some major catching up myself, 7 weeks worth of photos!

I am in school, taking more credits than I should. I am doing "catch up MONTH". It isn't the same as keeping up, but it is possible to catch up. I love that.
