Digital Supplies I Use In Project Life | Designer Digitals Quarterly Sale
It's Quarterly Sale time at Designer Digitals (today through Thursday, September 27th at 6am EST) and I thought I'd take this opportunity to highlight some of my digital products I use often in Project Life.
There's three main ways I use my digital products in Project Life:
- Word Art added to photos before printing.
- Elements cut using my Silhouette Cameo.
- Journal cards.
Let's take a look at examples of each and some of my favorite products:
WORD ART
From Week Twenty-Two using Days Of The Week Outline Banners.
Circles Of Life from Week Seventeen (you'll also see this one used below with the Silhouette).
Moving Forward Brushes & Stamps from Week Ten.
Check out all my word art sets here.
ELEMENTS TRACED AND CUT WITH THE SILHOUETTE
From Week 24 using Hello Heart Boxes.
Arrow Sentiments Outline from Week Twenty.
For The Love Of Days journal cards from Week Thirteen.
Circles of Life from Week Eighteen.
Check out some of my other sets that make great cut files for the Silhouette.
JOURNAL CARDS
Random Facts Journal Cards from Week Nine.
I also have two new journal card sets that just became available last weekend:
The Story Of Today Journal Cards
Check out all my journal card sets here.
One other thing I've enjoyed using is my 6x12 Words & Photos Layered Template set. It's really great especially for adding blog posts directly to Project Life. Example above is from Week One and includes a video tutorial on how to work with these 6x12 layered templates.

Hi Ali,
i have a question. I've always wanted to purchase your brush sets but i do not have photoshop. Will the brushes also work in other scrapbooking programs? Currently i am using Stampin Ups! My Digital Studio 2. Thanks!
Hi Heidi - unfortunately I don't know anything about that program. Are you able to open PNG files with that program? That's what you would need to know -

These are all so gorgeous. Hoping that at some stage you might design a PL kit?

Yes! YES!!! I agree with Alida! You MUST design a PL kit! I actually thought you were going to be one of the designers when BH was talking up this year's PL.
Pretty please!!! :)Can we get a wink on that? ;)

I love your PL pages...they are so inspirational! I already have lots of your templates and brushes, but I do have a question...what font/fonts do you use when you type your text onto your photos?
Normally I use a font called Sentinel.

Ok, super dumb question, but if it includes a PDF, that means I can just download, print, then stick in my album. I don't need anything special, right?
Exactly right!

Hi Ali! I saw December Daily, Project Life and A Week In The Life while on Pinterest and I'm definitely curious.I am wanting to make my own Project Life. or junk journal using by binder rings... Any tips? I was wondering .. do I glue the pages down together? Seems the paper I'm using will rip easy.. tips... advice would be much appreciated!!!! :)
Hi Michelle - welcome! It really all depends on what you want to do (no right or wrong and there's always some experimentation built into the process). Project Life is really easy because of all the pockets (you could do it without using any glue). You can also go the binder ring route - that gives you more flexibilitiy. You can use cardstock (from a craft supply store) or chipboard as the base for the pages - sometimes I even just glue photos back to back. If you are interested in seeing how I built a mini-album in the past you should look through my December Daily archives or check out my Scrapbook On The Road class - lots of tips for building an album there. http://aliedwards.com/2009/12/december-daily-compilation.html

Hi Ali, I have never used brushes before, can you let me know what the link is so I can watch your video again on how to use it in Photoshop? I am such a novice in Photoshop so I need a step by step guide. I know you made one awhile back. Thank you so much.
