Projects In Progress

Looking around my office today I see:

  1. Christmas/December Daily products that need to be put away. My plan is to go through it and weed out things I'll likely never use and have a nice stack of things ready to go for next season.

  2. Project Life for the last few weeks that needs to be tackled. I'll be waiting to do my 2013 intro page until I receive the Seafoam kit (hoping that becomes available this weekend). I've already started collecting stuff for this week and ordered a new We R Memory Keepers album. I've also got a spread in progress for Studio Calico's Day By Day workshop.

  3. One Little Word project for February in-progress. Registration is still open if you're interested in joining that journey. Details here.

  4. A layout for Technique Tuesday's Studio AE blog hop coming up this Thursday. You can check out this month's stamp set here.

  5. Taxes. Ah, yes, good times.

  6. CHA schedule. Katie and I are heading to Anaheim this weekend to attend the Craft & Hobby show. I'll be in the Technique Tuesday booth on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 1pm-5pm. If you're attending the show stop by and say hi and check out all the new stamps. Looking forward to checking out all the new stuff and getting the chance to see so many people I care about in one place.

  7. Piles on the floor of products to be put away and looked through and inspired by.

Lots to do. Lots to be thankful for.

Here's to a great 2013!

Wow, look at all that space! My office area is also in need of a sort out. My main problem is that I have too much stuff and too little space.

Cleaning out is on my list mainly because I plan to save $$ by using my stash. After moving and seeing 12 boxes of scrapbook related stuff I knew it was time to use it or loose it!

    Happy 2013!

I did a huge purge of my supplies over a year ago when we were getting ready to move overseas. I wouldn't let go of things thinking I would use it someday, or I'd be afraid to use it because I thought another project would come along where it would be put to better use. Yeah, right. I felt "free" when I got rid of it! And even though I am down to minimal supplies (don't get me wrong, I have a studio), I am ready to get rid of more. I've switched to Project Life and really don't have a need for all of the "stuff" anymore!

Sounds like a busy week Ali. I just went through all my Christmas/Holiday crafting stuff and weeded out what I won't use next year. So I have room for more if you are going to get rid of yours. *wink*

Glad you posted this. I have been chomping at the bit for more posts on projects. I was afraid that Hawaii made you say "Scrap this! I am moving!" That's what it does to me every time. I look out the door and say "Nope. No rainbows. No ocean. Going back to bed." I come home and it takes me a good week to get over it and get back to life.

Oh I felt like that - but even if I moved over there I'd still be making stuff.

"Ditto" the first comment. I would love a tour of your room. In addition to the tour I would love to see how you store and organize supplies/albums photos etc. I'm looking to rearrange purge and just get my space better functioning. thanks!

Ali - do you ever go to the summer CHA in Chicago? I purged this year as well two 30 gallon plastic containers - donated much to a young girl who's family is down and out and the balance to a local church that hosts scrapbooking weekends once a month - love the purge!

Love the 'inspired by' in number 7. My fave products to buy are ones that I look at and instantly see a number of things that I want to do with them.

I also need to purge. I work for children' s mental health. One therapist has her kids make scrapbooks to express their feelings so she' s always looking for free scrapbook paper for them. Great way to use "old" paper.

Love this post and wishing you a safe and wonderful trip to CHA. Wow, would I ever be thrilled if I could go and meet you..that would be the highlight of my trip because it may sound dumb but I really consider you an online friend even though we've never met, and you really put alot of smiles on my face on days that I really need it. (Wouldn't that be a sappy CHA photo, I'd probably be smiling and crying.)
