Katie’s Project Life 2013 | Week 5

Welcome to Katie’s Project Life 2013 | Week 5.

Well hello February. How did you sneak up on me so fast?

I finally broke down and bought a pair of floral jeans. And they rock.

Ali introduced me to Notes From The Universe. They are little weekday inspirational emails that bring a smile to my face everyday. They are often funny, and usually exactly what I need to hear that day. Love them!

This week was extra special for me because I got to go with my sister to try on wedding dresses at Jcrew in Seattle. It was so fun to see how happy she was when she found “the one.”

The “Big Day” date stamp is from Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp. I used an  American Crafts Slick Writer to journal directly on the photo.

IDEA | Trim down a 4×6 journal card (this one is from The Seafom Kit) to fit inside Studio Calico’s Stitched Pockets (rotated to go 6×4 vs. straight up and down).

Click on the images to link to the products.

I love seeing Katie’s pages! They are so soft – yet totally “solid” in presentation. I’m so inspired!

I love this! One question; How do you take the card out to read the whole thing once it’s inside the pocket, inside the page protector?

      Hi Heather,
You have to pull it out of the pocket. It’s a great way to add hidden journaling.

Loving your pages especially the hello card which summarises your weeks special moments and the lovely photos of your Mum and your sister trying on wedding dresses. Thanks for sharing your PL with us.

Awesome pages, Katie! What great typewriter scores. I used to sell TONS of them on Etsy, but I stick with my 3 personal ones now. They’re so fun to play with and find!

Katie – even though the link for your etsy page took me to your pinterest page I still found it. OMG! So glad I did. You have things I’ve been looking for for three years on there. YAY! Thanks for embracing the documentation of life process and sharing it with us.

I love that Katie is willing to share her project life with us! I love that she is single and having a different life than everyone with kids — although she does have kids in hers…. We are “tweens” — kids grown, no grandkids — and I often feel as if we have less to note.

Hi Katie! I love seeing your Project Life pages – thanks for sharing! Since you are getting married soon, I was wondering if you were trying on wedding dresses too? Or have you already found your dress? I know you’ll be so happy you documented this exciting time in your life through this project. I wish I had been doing PL 5 years ago when I got married.

      Hi Cindy,
I have already found my dress. It is vintage from the 60′s. I’m really excited about it. I am so happy I will be able to look back and remember how I was feeling at this moment in time. So cool!
