Simon Edwards You're Our Only Hope

I was picking up and putting away last night when I opened this little red notebook of Simon's and found this story.

I don't know when he wrote it but man it's a good one - a little bit Star Wars, a little bit Spider Man, a little bit ninja and all Simon Edwards.

And I have no idea where the "Alvin's hot juice box" comes from (besides maybe Alvin and The Chipmunks). EDITED: A wonderful Google sleuth in the comments found that this is a line from an Adventure Time episode which makes complete sense because that's a show he likes to watch.

Simon's at 5th Grade Outdoor School the next couple of days otherwise I'd ask him to tell me more about this awesome story (and I sure will when he returns home).

Hope he's having an awesome adventure.

Simon has named the next world-dominating rock band: Hot Juice Box. (Their breakout, chart-topping album? Simon Edwards Saves The World.)

    Awesome story!
Right away I think of him wanting to be able to save the school. Maybe from all they might hear in the news.
    You go Simon!!!

I love finding stuff like that. My kid is big now (23) but when I was cleaning out his desk after high school I came across some amazingly insightful essays he'd written and just had to keep them.
Our children are so amazing; cherish every age.
