More About Hello Story | New 12-Week Online Workshop

I wanted to share a few more thoughts and images about my new 12-week online workshop Hello Story that begins on July 8th.

Here's where this class is coming from: I believe that the words are inside us. The stories are there. We all need inspiration & techniques to pull them out.

This class is about using design ideas and specific story structures to inspire you to get stories told. It's also most definitely a process class - I'll be sharing my process for each of the layouts (2-3 per week) and Project Life idea (1 each week) via both video and full-color handouts. In addition you'll receive a package of digital elements/printables each week that go along with the specific theme/story structure. Read more and register here.

I've done quite a few workshops that focus on journaling. This class is not just a workshop about writing. If you specifically want to focus on writing at this time I highly recommend checking out my 31 Things self-paced class.

Be sure to check out a video that Stacy Julian put together at the bottom of the registration page that includes an example of the kind of videos you'll find in this class.

ALREADY REGISTERED? If you've already registered make sure you check out a couple of bonus items we've added to the classroom. The first is my self-paced workshop Storyology and the second is a set of 50 Random Facts printable journal cards. I think that Storyology is an excellent warm-up for Hello Story.

Here's a look at some of the projects:

Hope to see you in the classroom on July 8th!

Looks like a great class. I am planning on taking it, but I may wait until next week to join. Is there only a certain number of seats, or are they unlimited?

I really had planned on taking this, but I am about to make a long distance move and have no idea when I will meet up with my household goods (or scrapbook supplies) again. Is this something that I could just as easily do self-paced once I am settled?

Hi Theresa - with these classes you have forever access so you can always do it on your own time. The content for each week is delivered all at once on Mondays and will be presented like that in the classroom - it will be easy to go back and take it a week at a time when you have a chance.

I'm looking forward to the class, although I'll have to work around vacations. I'm thinking it'll be a good way to not 'over think' my pages!

Can not wait for this class! I'm so excited. I can never keep up with classes, so I'm so thankful that you teach through Big Picture, where we can access the content forever. I'm still slowly working through Y&T among many others. Can't wait for Hello Story!

Class looks fabulous, but my finances don't so much. Was hoping to win a seat in one of the giveaways...no luck yet. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! KEEP ON SCRAPPIN' ON.

I really only do Project Life scrapping now. Is there enough for me if that is my only system?

I think it depends on your expectations - this is not a class that is only focusing on Project Life. Each week there will be a specific Project Life example showcased (sometimes a way to use the theme in a single 4x6 pocket and other weeks maybe an insert but not full spreads) + a video that talks about how the example connects to the theme of the week + some sort of download/printable element that can be used in Project Life or with traditional scrapbooking.

My personal opinion is that if you are interested in thoughtful, intentional memory keeping then even the ideas I'm sharing for traditional layouts can be applied to approaching Project Life.
