Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty-Four
Welcome to Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty-Four (June 10 - June 16).
Yes. Yes. Yes.
That's what I felt like when I got back up-to-date last week.
Of course you don't have to "keep up" and of course you don't have to do this project weekly and of course you should make it work for you. But man I so love being able to be working on this in real-time vs. going back and trying to remember stuff.
Of course I still love the project regardless. It is my life, week by week, in words and photos.
This spread includes photos and words from Simon's 5th grade promotion ceremony.
"Oh The Places You'll Go" is a letterpress card from the Kelly Purkey/Simon Says Stamp April/May kit. Those little yellow star stickers are from a past Studio Calico kit and I can't get enough of them.
I included the journaling from this blog post and copied and pasted the text onto a 4x6 canvas in Photoshop (breaking it into 2 text boxes so I would be able to cut it into two on my trimmer).
The second half of the spread includes Simon's summer wish list and a folded card that includes a special design/journaling card from Week Two of my Hello Story workshop (begins July 8th). I'm including a Project Life idea each week that relates to the theme + digital elements/printables.
Gave my Silhouette a little workout again cutting one of my Hello Summer 3x4 Sentiment Boxes on yellow cardstock.
Love how these can be used with the Silhouette or printed as journal cards.
Love looking for and finding opportunities to document pieces of their lives like this. Simon had placed a "keep out" note on his door with washi tape (nice choice) so of course she wanted to have a note on her door too (hers says "anna"). I added yellow glitter Thickers and some hand-written text below using a Precision Pen (.08).

Congrats on catching up :) This week is beautiful. All of the neutral colors make the green and yellow pop so much more and the effect is just happy.
P.S. The "Oh the Places You'll Go" card is from the April / May KP kit, not the June / July kit.
Thanks Megan - we updated that!

I love the pic of Simon with George! Great angle. And I just love seeing the bond of pet & child. Constantly reminding myself simple is good for PL!

Love the door signs! We are currently on winter holidays (last day :() and there are signs on my kids' doors also, very similar to your kids. Timothy's (7) is 'Stay out of my roooooom' and Ellie's (4) is 'Mum, Dad, Tex (timothy's nickname) and Ellie with all but Ellie crossed out!! So will definitely be scraplifting you this week ;)

also wanted to say that the pic of you all is lovely and speaks volumes for the wonderful parents you are. No doubt that kind of interaction is loaded with feelings and you are an awesome role model to Anna and Simon to be in a place where this is possible. Kudos to you!
