Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty-Six (Includes June Day In The Life)

Welcome to Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty-Six (June 24 - June 30).

Ah, hello love.

I've been a little quiet in this space because I'm deep in finishing up layouts and content for Hello Story. Week Two begins today and there are a couple days left to join if you're still on the fence (closes on the 17th).

Here's a look at Week Twenty-Six:

As always you can click on the image for a larger view.

Word art on the photo of Simon and Aunt Liz playing chess is from This Is Classic.

The "we are ___" card is from my Fill It In 3x4 Card Package and is printed on Fredrix Print Canvas (an 8.5x11 sheet of canvas that you can run through an ink jet printer).

Letter stamps for "missing lily" are from Hero Arts.

The package includes a printable PDF for easy printing.

I used my Day In The Life 6x12 Layered Template set and Day In The Life 6x12 Photo Collage Layered Template Package again this month for documenting my day. You can read about that adventure here: Day In The Life June 2013.

And of course the Just Awesome Stamp Set makes an appearance again inside an Avery Tab along the edge of the 6x12 page (orange ink is Tim's Spiced Marmalade).

AE_PL2013_WK26_LetterStickers

On top of the printed 6x12 layered template I added these awesome vellum letter stickers from Amy Tangerine: Life Yes, Please Amy Tangerine Sticker Book. They remind me of those old Mrs. Grossman vellum letter stickers from long ago - anyone else around long enough to remember those?

I put in a new order for 6x12 page protectors yesterday so I had to improvise for this one by cutting down a 12x12 page protector and closing off the side with some Bella Blvd washi tape (simply fold it over). Pretty sure I first saw that idea from Julie Fei-Fan Balzer.

AE_PL2103_WK26_WashiCase

And speaking of washi tape, I wanted to share with you this cool storage piece that was sent to me from Adrianne at All Ready Memories. I know lots of you have MANY more roles than this, but it's a great solution for holding at least this many in a way that you can actually see the roles you'd like to use.

The diagonal stripe card is from this great little package of 4x6 and 3x4 cards from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss collection. The circle stickers on the photo to the left of that card are from a 12x12 sticker sheet from that same collection. "Hello Summer" stamp is from Kelly Purkey's June/July kit at Simon Says Stamp.

On the photo of Woody (Aaron's dog) I added a Messy Daily Line (saturday) before printing.

On the top right photo I used a white gel pen right on top of the photo. Thank You Friend word art was used on the photo of Simon and his friend Ben.

Totally relate to your journaling about craving quiet and then missing everyone when they aren't around. *sigh* I think it's about balance, and also what's going on in one's life. But I really don't know the answer.

I, too, am unashamed to admit I still have Mrs. Grossmann's vellum letter stickers in my stash! Quite a lot of them, actually, thanks to a friend who used to own a scrapbook store which closed about 8 years ago!!

Another week of Project Life! It's so hard to believe that we are more than halfway through the year already.

Ana and Simon are looking so grown up. Simon, especially, in that photo of him in front of the laptop. Awwww...

I love the washi technique! I use it a lot since I saw it in 31 Things (I think that's where it was, at least). I've also grown to like closing cut down pocketed page protectors with colored staples when washi doesn't work design-wise.

    Hey Ali:

I noticed you use numerous project life kits in your project life books (instead of just sticking to one core kit, etc). I think it would be awesome if you posted a list of numerous companies that sell different varieties of "Project Life." For example: Studio Calico or the Kelly Purkey Kit you used in this post.

I would like to subscribe or get numerous kits like you have done but I am having a hard time finding the kits before they are sold out (For instance the Kelly Purkey kit is no longer available).

Thanks Ali for all the great inspiration!

    This looks awesome, Ali! :)
It's always a hassle when you run out of the page protectors that your after to use for a project, but this turned out great anyway, and adds a little variety!

I'm pretty sure those came in a kit (Studio Calico) at some point. The brand is "mt" and they have it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/17irlQf

I truly love your blog and your honesty about life:) keep up the inspiration!! I would love to take the class but can't this time. My husband is being furlough because of our "wonderful" (not) president/people in charge of our government. Maybe you will offer it at another time when money isn't so tight. I will just keep on enjoying your blog and dream one day I might have one myself:) thanks again for your blog!!!!! Wanda
