Summer Voices | Susan Weinroth

blog - week 26 detail 3

We’re on summer holiday and we’ve invited some of our friends to share their voices and projects here over the next 2 weeks. Say hello to Susan Weinroth:

Summer at our house means mornings spent at the beach or in the pool, afternoon swim lessons, the occasional week of camp, & lots of little mini get-a-way type vacations.  It’s my absolute favorite time of year (the time that I want to spend with my boys enjoying every minute of them & us), but this all inevitably ends up equaling less schedule & less structure & less extra time in our summer days.

So while I’ve been trying to keep my Project Life album up-to-date this summer, I’ve also been trying to keep it simple.  Here’s a little peek at a typical summer week for us.
blog - week 26
My usual Project Life style is super-simple & very photo-centric, with lots of Ali’s digital brushes & if there’s room, a few filler cards from Studio Calico’s Project Life kit.  As a photographer, I take more pictures than I could ever begin to use or need.  I love that Project Life has given me a meaningful way to organize my favorite shots into an album on a regular basis.

Years from now I know that the pictures PLUS the stories that I’m collecting in this album will be one of the greatest gifts that I’ve ever given my family.  That is the essence of what’s made me fall in love with this craft & hobby all over again.  And I love that.

ABOUT SUSAN | Susan Weinroth is a photographer and crafty momma, who lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL - a sunny little community in North Florida right along the Atlantic Ocean.  She’s married to her husband of 12+ years and most days she can be found chasing after their two spunky little boys in their daily adventures. In her (rare) spare time, she loves to sew and quilt, read books on her Kindle, and catch up on her Project Life Album (a new-found love of hers).

Beautiful! I live close by in Palm Coast (but I work in Jacksonville.) our family is enjoying time on Flagler Beach - check it out sometime - it"s in between Saint Augustine and Daytona and much less crowded!

Susan, your use of the Cobalt kit last year inspired me to go for Cobalt this year. Love how you capture your life in such a bright & happy way. I'm definitely also a photocentric PL'er.

I've been following Susan's blog for a few months, and I LOVE her PL pages. Her photos are always so great, and I love how much BLUE she uses on her pages! :) So pretty!! A couple of people asked where the calendar came from, and I'm pretty sure it's by Splendid Fiins, and is available at The-Lilypad.com. Here's a link:
