Project Life® 2013 | Week Thirty-Nine

Welcome to Project Life® 2013 | Week Thirty-Nine (September 23rd to September 29th).

Katie and I started our new block schedule this week (I'll share more about that after we see how it goes for a couple of weeks) and one of the big goals is to set aside more time to be off the computer and over at the table making stuff.

Wednesdays are going to be our Project Life days where we hope to catch up and stay more up to date with this project on a weekly basis.

I've got 11 weeks of 2013 to go. My 2014 album is also in progress with most weeks having photos printed and some journaling. Each week of 2014 really just needs a few finishing embellishments before being ready to post.

Here's a look at Week 39:

This week I flew to Houston to film a segment for Brené Brown's e-course on Oprah.com and Katie & Peter got married. Huge week.

My Mom came to stay with the kids when I flew to Houston and she brought some crab with her from the coast. Awesome.

Katie found that quote about the 99 problems on Pinterest and I had to print it out and add it to my album. Ha. Really. That's NEVER an issue for me. Right.

The black lined journal card is from the Seafoam kit. I added a gold heart from the new Studio Calico Essentials collection.

I did go ahead and purchase the Midnight Project Life Kit. The "notes" card above is included in that kit.

People - it is awesome. Seriously. I love how it works great with Seafoam too.

I wasn't planning to get another core kit but Katie and I happened to be at Micheal's and we happened to see it and we happened to bring it home with us and we are both now freaking out about how much we love it. This should not be a surprise to anyone, especially to the two of us, but man it's great and will be a really nice complement to any other products I include this year. Liz rocks.

Next to the "notes" card I created a tag that includes a cork tag from Little Yellow Bicycle + "this is real life" sticker from a Kelly Purkey sticker sheet + some white cardstock and stitching. This worked great on top of a banner that was included in this pocket the week before.

The second half of the spread is mostly photos from Katie's wedding weekend. All these photos were taken with my iphone or were photos I took on the computer when we were able to see Katie's professional pictures on the photographers website.

It was an awesome time celebrating Katie & Peter with lots of my family/close friends in attendance too.

"You are simply awesome" is from a Kelly Purkey gold label set. The wood veneer love heart is from Freckled Fawn.

I also added a transparent 3x4 sheet from Kelly Purkey's new kit.

"Delight" is from that set of Heidi Swapp elements I can't stop using - such a fun mix of acrylic and other die cut pieces.

i am trying to play catch up too! am thinking scheduling regular blocks of time is the way to go...I am still loving the Turquoise Edition of PL...love how the colors are similar to the ones in most of my pictures...I have several other kits and was feeling guilty about having too many...until I read someone else's post that they had ALL of them...so now it's ok and I want to be like her..and have ALL of them!!!

That's funny! I don't do project life but can certainly apply that thought process to my favorite stuff! Michelle t

Love all the embellishments you chose for your pictures. I like the versatility of the wood veneer pieces, that I sometimes color and other times leave alone. Do you place your embellishments on your photos or on the page protector? I went back to re-read and I couldn't tell. Michelle t

I agree! Midnight is the best and most versatile PL kit. I'm thinking about buying an extra one so that I have it in the future (in case they ever decide to discontinue it).

Love these pages Ali, Katie's wedding ones look so pretty. I too had to get the Midnight one at Michaels, it was half off that day too. I was sooooo thrilled about that and how awesome it is. I'm headed to Joann's on Sunday hoping to get the Kiwi core kit. So cool that we can just shop for PL in the stores now.

Happy Valentines Day to you and the family!

Love you style! I'm a huge fan of all your work and your blog. Curious what font and size you are using on your weekly title card for PL 2014, for ex. JANUARY 13th - JANUARY 19th for week 3.
