For The Love Of Layered Templates
There's a sale happening at Designer Digitals now through Wednesday at 6AM EST that I don't want you to miss out on - 40% off all Paper Packs and Layered Templates. 40% off is a pretty great deal considering that the Quarterly Sale is usually a 30% off sale.
You can check out my gallery over at Designer Digitals to see more of my digital and hyrbid layouts.
Now while I think there are some fun papers available, it's really the templates that I love and use. I use them in a few different ways including making fully digital 12x12 or 8.5x11 scrapbook pages, creating hybrid pages (a mix of digital and traditional) and using layered templates to create pages for Project Life®.
In Project Life® I regularly use two kinds of layered templates: (1) 6x12 Layered Templates and (2) 3x4 or 4x6 Layered Sentiments.
Currently I have two 6x12 Layered Template sets available: Words & Photos Vol.1 and Words & Photos Vol.2. I've got a video tutorial on how to work with these templates here.
Here's a peek at an upcoming week of 2014 that will be posted soon that uses the Words & Photos 6x12 Layered Template Vol.2:
They are such a great way to get longer stories added to Project Life®.
Using Words & Photos Vol.1.
Or maybe you'd like to add some Day In The Life stories to your Project Life® album like I did last year using this Day In The Life 6x12 Layered Template Set. Check out all my posts last year that include that template set here.
Some of my other personal favorite template sets include:
What We've Learned From You | Check out a big post about what I created using that set here and the updated post where I share the 4x6 album here.
And then of course there are Week In The Life sets:
Week In The Life - The Is Our Life | See how I used this template set for my 2013 Week In The Life album. There is a second set available as well called This Is My Life. Check out a video on working with these sets here.
Autobiography Layered Template Set | This one also includes a front cover, back cover, and spine. This is a great set if you've been wanting to document a bit more about your own story right now.

For single page layouts I love:
Pieces Of Life. Here's a layout I created using that template:
Simply AE | Remember This. Here's a layout I created using that template:

In addition I have a bunch of 3x4 layered sentiment cards available. These are great for adding to Project Life®. You can read more about working with those here.
And really that's just a quick glimpse at all the layered templates I have available. You can see them all here.

Ali, I just love everything you do. Scrapbooking is my escape/mediation/one of my happy places, and when I can't make time for it, I just read your blog and it keeps me going. Thank you for creating such an amazing place that I can always come to and know that there will be something honest, real, inspiring and wonderful. Jx

Love all you create! I am not that inept at digital work. A different generation :). If and when I do pursue expanding my scrapping work to using digital products, I will LOVE to use your creations. Am saving for a computer. :)

As I was listening to your video on the 6x12 layered templates you spoke of a page on your blog regarding getting started with digital Scrapbooking and I can't seem to locate it. Would you be kind enough to guide me to the correct location? I am trying to re-learn photoshop elements on my MacBook Pro and need to start at the beginning for accurate skills. Thank you for your help, it is much appreciated.
Kathy
