Katie's Project Life® 2014 | Title Page + Weeks 1 through 3

Welcome to Katie's Project Life® 2014 | Title Page +  Weeks 1, 2, and 3.

I'm so excited to be embarking on this project again this year and changing a few things up. KJ_PL2014_TITLEPAGE

I knew I wanted to do something super simple for my title page. One photo from our wedding and then two from when we were in Paris.

The 2014 stickers are American Crafts DIY Shoebox Thickers (they have adhesive on the top) and I glittered them up with Gold Silhouette Glitter.

The strips with the phrases on them are from the Studio Calico Antiquary Scrapbook Kit (it's still available!) I adhered them to a blank 4x6 card using rolling adhesive and then ran it through the sewing machine.

I punched the "J" out of a journal card that was included in the Studio Calico Copper Mountain Project Life® Kit using Marvy's 2 inch punch.

The "This is Life" stamp is from Ali's stamp set called Just Awesome. They are the perfect size to slide into an Avery Index Tab. KJ_PL2014_WK1_spread

WEEKS 1 & 2 | I've decided to try out using only Design G page protectors this year. I really like the idea of a slightly smaller size. When I was putting together these first few weeks I kept saying to myself, "I don't think I am going to be able to keep this going...I need to go back to my beloved Design A." Just the fact that I feel challenged by it makes me want to push through. KJ_PL2014_WK1_Left

The pink letter stickers and the striped journal card are from the Studio Calico Sugar Rush Scrapbook and Project Life® Kits. The "You and Me" clear sticker is from Mambi. KJ_PL2014_WK1_Right

When I started printing my photos for this week I realized I had only taken 3 photos in the first 2 weeks of January--YIKES. I'm not exactly sure why I wasn't taken photos. I've been actively working on that. I just need to get back in the habit. I just did one spread to represent the two weeks since I clearly did not have enough photos for two separate weeks.

I decided I wanted to do another full spread with single prompts on them like this one I did last year. I love this Allison Kreft Paper. I used a 4x6 card that was included on this 12x12 sheet of paper from Carta Bella. I cut the 4x6 card into strips and  adhered them to their individual card, then filled out the prompts. WEEK 3 | This week was spent in Anaheim at the Big Picture Play event. It was such a fun experience. We got to go to Disneyland. So of course, I was super happy.

I cut down a We R Memory Keepers 8.5x 11 page protector to include more 3x4 cards. These pockets are just slightly smaller than 3x4, so I just trimmed my photos + cards to fit. KJ_PL2014_WK3_SPREAD3

Here is the other side of the insert. I added another Avery Index Tab with one of Ali's stamps from the Just Awesome set. I am going to be using these quite often, if not every week. So I'm just going to call them the Avery Tab/Just Awesome combo. KJ_PL2014_WK3_SPREAD2 KJ_PL2014_WK3_Left

I added one of Kelly Purkey's Everything Is Wonderful Label Stickers to the photo of my Disneyland ice cream. The gold star rub on is from Jenni Bowlin. I'm still using Ali's Banner Me Vol. 01 Labels from when I printed and cut them out last year. They are my favorite go to item in my embellishment drawer and are now available as stamps as well. I had to include a picture of me this week after using my new favorite make up. You guys. This makeup is a game changer for me. It is called IID Foundation from maskCARA. If you are not familiar with her, she is an amazing beauty blogger that has awesome tips + tutorials. There are three shades avalaible (light, medium, and dark) I went with the medium after reading some reviews even though they I have pretty fair skin. I love it, and it has changed my entire make-up routine. I bought the HAC pack, that includes a cream blush and a highlighter, and the foundation. It makes everything quick and simple in the morning. The medium is currently sold out, and I'm anxiously waiting for it to come back in stock because I'm almost out. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Love the pages!!! Will the design G fit in an 8 1/2 by 11 album or do we still need 12x12?

      Yep - she's got it in a 12x12 (she's on vacation this week) :).

You still need the 12x12. I really wish that they made albums to fit those and a few more configurations. I love that size.

Love your title page! That pic of you two at the cafe is so cute. Did you mount your camera somewhere to get the shot?

I really like how you combined two weeks and did the prompts. That gives me a few ideas since I was slack in January with photo taking:) Thanks for sharing your awesome pages!!

Love the clean and simple look of your title page! I like the idea of using smaller page protectors. I've been cutting down a lot of the design F ones to have a similar effect. Very fun!
