Project Life® 2014 | Week Seven

Welcome to Project Life® 2014 | Week Seven (February 10th through February 16th).

One of the things I've been doing recently, and some of you have commented on (thank you), is adding some ACTION ITEMS/IDEAS at the end of my posts before the supply lists. Make sure to check them out for some quick take-aways, ideas or things to think about related to memory keeping and documentation.

This was the week of Anna's actual birthday (vs. when she had her party) and she ended up going up to Seattle with my Mom for a few days and getting to pick out her first American Girl doll from the store up there. It was definitely a treat for the two of them to go together. I'll most likely be making a layout using more of the photos my Mom took on that adventure.

That big 5 is from Me And My Big Ideas - Silver Glitter Uppercase.

For the number stencil I used this super cute one from Kelly Purkey/Simon Says Stamp and Sugar Plum Mister Huey's from Studio Calico. Little metal stars are from Basic Grey.AE_PL2014_WK7_Right

This week is light on words and I'm okay with that from time to time.

ACTION ITEMS/IDEAS

  • Copy and paste a short email into a 3x4 card or print out a longer one and include that as an insert or in a 4x6 pocket. Emails are a great way to include another person's voice.

  • Play with photo perspective the next time you grab your camera. Do everything you can to stop yourself from shooting at your normal eye level - look down, get down, set your camera on the table or the ground, etc.

  • Pick one card this week to play around with a stencil and mist/spray ink.

  • Put a card in front of your kids, partner, spouse, friend, etc and ask them to write down something from their week (or something that's on their mind).  It's another opportunity to invite another voice into this project.

I loved your action items/ideas. I've just used one for my DITL - I don't have a e-mail to paste in but a text message; my husband left for Greenland this morning, and have just arrived. I took a screen shot of the text he sent upon arrival.

Love the action items as well, i'm thinking about adding them to a "jump start" journal, for when my mojo is slumbering :-)

Oh... Would it be possible for you to add all your action items to one page? (In case my jump start journal stays an idea ;-))

    Hi Ali!

Beautiful layout as always! The pinks/purples throughout are so pretty.

I was wondering if you had shared the results of your blog survey yet? Or if you were planning to? I'm curious to see how it turned out for you! And hopefully I didn't miss the post somewhere.

Thanks for sharing all that you do! :)

My daughter sends me photos she takes of my grandsons, and her comments are hilarious! I often include her text in project life, and use portions of her texts as titles in my layouts. Thanks for the reminder and I love the tips!

Our daughter and son-in-law are on a six month word trip. I am including in my PL album the postcards they send as they arrive. The pictures are gorgeous and the words there for anyone wanting to pull them out and read. I am living away from home this year for long periods due to work and am also including email exchanges between my husband and I. Love adding someone else's voice to the album.

I love the stencilled numbers card. I think I need to invest in a few stencils sometime soon!
