December Daily® 2014 | Day Twenty
Welcome to December Daily® 2014 | Day Twenty.
I made it safe and sound to my parents house and today I'm sharing the story of getting here and how thankful I am that this place is part of our lives. Just like last year I packed up my kit, my laptop, and my Epson PictureMate printer and have set up a little station for working on my album while I'm here visiting my parents. There's always a lot of picture-taking that takes place even when it's just the three of us.
Here's a look at Day Twenty:
Today consists of one initial card, the back of the gold glitter star (embossed white), a 4x6 photo, the transparency cut in half with a tab, and a full 6x8 journal page with the kraft stickers on top for the date.
"M" is for McDougall. That's my maiden name.
This fireplace is so, so awesome. It's huge and it is literally one of the best places in the entire world to sit and relax.
For journaling today I decided to create a column with my words:
Written first and underlined second, the words talk about the logistics of getting here and the happiness of being together.
I ended it with the "give love" stamp. I've really loved working with this stamp set this year. Those little word prompts have been so great for so many of my stories this year. I hope you've enjoyed them too if you purchased a kit.

Love the maiden name initial, totally works with my today! Glad you arrived safe and this time with your parents is so precious (even though you miss your kids etc). We may be parents but we are children also x

Have a great time! I've loved all of your DD posts so far. This is my weekend without my kids and I have loved the quiet to just work on some projects and finish up gift wrapping. It's quiet, sometimes lonely, but definitely something I've grown to appreciate. Enjoy your parents :) --Desiree

Yes I have been loving the stamp set too it's amazing amazing amazing!!! So many awesome words and phrases and images to use. In fact the whole kit has come together so lovely! You are one talented person to put that kit and stamp set together, I thought it was alot of money when I preordered but worth every penny, thank you!

I am really loving the stamps this year too (and I rarely stamp the rest of the year, sadly). I did use some of last year's stamps today to make a card and they were great too. Still loving this project and experiencing it with this community. Thank you.

The stamp set is great - to be honest, it's the biggest reason I wanted this kit! I'm finding all kinds of ways to use them (even used them in my Christmas cards this year!) and your "try this" ideas help, too.
I love the use of your Maiden name in here...great way to link the families within the album. And, as always, huge fan of the journaling. ;)
Have a wonderful time with your parents!

I've loved your album and your ideas this year, Ali! Sadly, I have not been able to keep up with mine this year. But I'm off for the next two weeks, and I hope to get it all done, after cleaning the house of course.
You can do it :).

What a lovely idea, to document the way it feels to be at home with your parents! I often end up with few to no pictures from my visits to my parents, simply because my time there is so laid back and relaxing...this is a good reminder to find ways to capture that in photo.
