5 | Scrapbook Layout Using Amy Tan's Plus One Collection

AE_5_CloseUp4

You might have guessed that I've got lots of love for Amy Tan's new line with American Crafts called Plus One and wanted to share a layout I put togther for her to share on HSN today. I'm guessing that many of you love it too because it was American Craft's most popular signature line released at the Winter 2014 Craft And Hobby trade show.

She'll be live on HSN today (Monday, March 24th) at 10am and 3pm EST and will be offering five kits: a basic kit, an embroidery kit, an embellishment kit and the sold out Plus One Project Life® Mini Kit.

Here's a look at the basic kit (which is what I used to create this layout):

Also, many of you know I've long been a fan & friend of Kal Barteski and it was so cool to see her script incorporated into Amy's line. If you'd like to know more about Kal or check out some of her prints or original art visit her shop.

Here's a look at my layout:

As you can see there's lots of pink which fits Anna perfectly right now (there are also pops of other colors in the line I just happened to pick most of the pink elements).

For this spread I made friends with my circle punches again. Actually they've never really been far away - I've long been a fan of circles and of repetition of shapes on my layouts.

Here I used Marvy's Giga Punch (3 inch) and the Super Circle Punch (2 inch).

I printed out four recent photos of Anna and paired those with punched pattern circles and a mix of other embellishments from this line.

I used the Plus One 12x12 Paper Pad, the Kal Barteski Thickers, the Plus One Bits and a few other products from the collection (these will all be offered together on HSN).

Around the edge of the layout I drew a box and created two vertical boxes along the edge for my journaling.

The brown embellishment is from the Sticker Roll (super cute product idea).

The Kal Barteski Thickers (the "ae" above and the "5" below) are awesome.

"Love You" stickers are from the Alpha Sticker Book.
