Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty-One

Welcome to Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty-One (May 20 - May 26).

This was my week of music. I'd been looking forward to this crazy week for so long. It was a whirlwind of friends and live music starting with a drive to Tacoma on a Monday to see Fleetwood Mac with Aaron, my sister and her friend Jessie. Returned home on Tuesday and then left again on Thursday for a Vampire Weekend concert in Portland before heading to the Gorge on Friday morning for the Sasquatch Music Festival (you can read my post about that experience here).

It was an awesome week.

I decided to create journal cards for each day using the day of the week tabs from BasicGrey's Mint Juliep Die Cut Cardstock/Transparency Pieces + the Project Life 3x4 Grid Cards. I used a bunch of the transparent pieces throughout this week too. I really liked the consistency of the journal cards.

I sprinkled those great gold glitter stars from Studio Calico's Atlantic Collection throughout the spread.

White pen I used on two of the photos is the Gelly Roll from Sakura.

Lots of photos for this week so I included a page protector insert.

The letter stickers I used are an older set of transparent letters from Amy Tangerine/American Crafts. This set includes red and black letters.

The scenery there is just so awesome.

The Project Life Tall Envelope Pages worked really great for all the paper stuff (parking pass, tickets, brochure, bracelet, etc) I collected from before and during the event.

The "you + me" circle is wood veneer from Studio Calico.

I love this week of your PL a lot! I think I just love it bcz of the music and how much fun you had! But the scrapping is great too. I like the tabs, I'm finding I need some sort of staple like that for journal cards.

That little stapler I use (the Tiny Attacher) is definitely one of my favorite tools.

Ali, great layout! I'd love for you to do a post on the best pens/ink to write and stamp on photos. Especially for people like me who don't have photoshop and can only write/stamp on their photos to add something. Hope you'll consider!

Such an awesome experience! Going to concerts is something I have been missing in my life for several years, so I am really trying to make that a priority now. The difficulty is finding someone to go with me. I did get to see Sir Paul McCartney in May and the very next week saw George Strait. :)

This is so great! I've been enjoying lots of little spring/summer adventures with my family and today you've given me a needed push to develop the photos!

Your story about Sasquatch totally makes me want to go next year! Hope their line-up is as stellar as this year's!

I had to smile at the "will it fit". I have a Ford Focus hatchback. I went to a 5 day scrapbooking retreat and "will it fit" came up several times while I tried to pack. Wish my PL pages looked as appealing.

Love the way you used 7 of the eight 3x4 spaces for days of the week journal cards - the continuity both of look and of your story really rocked on these pages!

Those journalling cards really do look great together! I think I need to do a week where I use matching journalling cards like that... I love the effect! And those stars suit the spread well! The 6x12 envelope pages that are here really are perfect for this sort of thing... I'm going to use some for my trip that I went on in Feb now, since I wasn't sure how to keep the brochures and things.

    Hey Ali

Your pages are just so amazing!! Plenty of activity and exciting stuff going on:-)

    LOVE the STARS!!

Really wish Fleetwood Mac would come to South Africa because i am crazy about their music. Talking about visits we have the honour of having President Obama visit South Africa tomorrow (Johannesburg first and then off to Cape Town) and we are SUPER SUPER excited to have the President and the family here!!!
