The Good Stuff.

Weekend

Here's what's good right now:
1. Just being at home.
2. Listening to Simon sound out words as he learns to read.
3. Chris orienting a new employee.
4. Fruit plates.
5. Hot chocolate in the middle of the day.
6. Lotta's Lifestyle.
7. Taking down the Christmas lights (yes, it is only a couple of months after the fact).
8. Planning spring break vacation.
9. Learning about Gustavo Dudamel on 60 Minutes tonight.
10. Starting a bit of spring cleaning.

Don't you worry... my boyfriend and I still haven't taken down our Christmas tree... thank god I unplugged the lights 'cause it would immediately burst into flames... It's hard to let go of the holidays...

Today is a day at home (Family Day in Canada) so I'm doing a bit of spring cleaning too - hard to get started but so good to do.

thanks for the link of Gustavo Dudamel on 60 minutes. I first heard of him on NPR. It was great to put a face to his story. I would love to see him conduct. I am excited about the System being developed in LA. Won't it be great if it spread across America.

I really like these weekend creative prompts, thanks for offering up inspiration consistently and beautifully. I loved your butterfly project last weekend and wanted to share this store with you. I found Butterfly People on a recent trip to Puerto Rico and had never seen anything like it! Unfortunately they're a little out of my price range, but I can create a paper adaptation like yours. Hope you enjoy the link!

Ah, they're not called Christmas lights at my house, they're winter lights---they help light things up through the dark winter, brightening things 'til spring ;)! Wish more people would leave their lights up longer....
