And the giveaways go to...

Reading through all the comments tonight there were definitely universal themes that kept popping up - time, lack of feeling creative, wanting perfection, guilt, too much stuff, mess/organization (or always organizing + never creating), etc. - it is a worth a read through to see that so many of us struggle with the same issues related to getting things done.

Congrats to the following:

Two lucky people will receive a pendant from Allison Strine Designs.

What holds me back is time, and having energy when I have time.
Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself while planning my pages, so
getting started can sometimes be frustrating. I'm trying to RELAX and
ENJOY scrapbooking more, instead of trying to be perfect. -Brooke in Dallas

What holds me back? Most of the time my scrapping funk is because the
"black dog" that travels along lifes road with me is dragging me down,
leaving me feeling like what I am creating is not "worthy" enough.

Two lucky people will receive September's kit from Freehand Scraps.

I think for me it would be that I feel like I always have so much other
"stuff" to do. I want to spend as much time with the hubby and our
little one, so that when he goes to bed, I am trying to do the dishes,
the laundry, housework... you know.... be supermom!

Time, clutter and guilt.

There's way too little of the first, and way too much of the other two!

I thought one my 2-year-old started preschool last week I would have
more time to scrap; but I couldn't help myself, and now I'm room mom
& art docent in my 7-year-old's class, and the point person for PTA
fundraisers!!

There has to be a balance in there somewhere, to have time for everything :)

Thanks for the giveaway, Ali!

Two lucky people will receive a package of three sets of stamps from Hero Arts (including two acrylic blocks).

Getting caught up on wanting everything to be perfect. I've gotten much
better over the years but it still gets in my way. Also not really
liking how my photos look.

ME! I would love to say it was time, because I have a busy family, or
all the things that I have to do around the house. But let's be
real...it's really me. When I decide I need to sit down and get some
scrapbooking done, I make the time. I just need to make the time more
often!

Joy...just keepin' it real!!

I have been drooling over those AS pendants... may just have to run over there and pick up a couple!
Ali, please e-mail me if you want a like-new Bumbo chair for the baby (light powder blue).. it's the last of my baby items that I am giving away and would love to send it to you if you can use one. It's been waiting for just the right loving home. :-)

Scrapbooking has been such a fun experience for me over the years. I started (haphazardly) in early 2000 a few months after the birth of my first grand-child. I had previously seen some scrapbooking efforts and had NOT been impressed. Then I visited an LSS, and the gals there were so helpful, that I found that SBing was something I wanted to try. So, 8 years later - and now with 8 grandchildren - I find that I keep busy trying to scrap our times together. I also scrap some of their activities that I don't have time to share. And there are two grand-daughters (ages 5 and 3) that live out of state, and who I don't see as often, except when we go there (MA) to visit, or to help, as my daughter is battling cancer. I have been on a tear to get pages done - to share with my daughter, although, I have not been able to scrap much about her illness (she and her family participated in "Race for the Cure" in Boston this past Sunday; to read about her fight see: ) - just don't have the heart. Well - I have started weeping, so I will end here. Take care of yourself and your family. And thanks for the continued inspiration.

I noticed (after posting, and despite "previewing") that the link I attempted to post did not go through, producing a truncated sentence. Sorry.

Yay! Sue and Brooke, email me at allisonstrine@mac.com so we can choose your LadyBird! You know, my favorite all time saying might be "She Decided She Was Worth It" and Sue, your scrapping is SOOOO worth it!
