Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Fall is a huge season for us. We harvest our apples and pears. We pick the pumpkins from our garden and decorate the porch with them. We have bonfires and roast marshmallows.
My favorite Fall tradition by far is, taking walks through our woods, with all of the beautiful leaves falling. It's beauty never ceases to amaze me.

How do I celebrate the fall season? My dad and I plant bulbs every year, rake leaves, then have hot tea together aftrward; we spend hours talking and reminiscing the past and planning for the future, especially our spring garden; then as a family we all go apple and pumpkin picking, and this year my new husband Tom will join us all for the festivities! We were married 7/12/08.

lots and lots of cooking - cold weather foods - like soups, stews, stuff you don't typically eat during the warmer months.

Fuzzy toe socks, hot chocolate, pumpkin pie, hayride, Halloween Horror Nights, Bonfires, pumpkin carving, costume party, homemade soups... These are just some of the ways that we celebrate fall every year!

Great giveaways, Ali. I guess I celebrate fall mostly by getting the fall decorations out. Not necessarily Halloween any more since all my children are grown, but love the gourds in the bowl on the end table, the wreath and pumpkin on the old chair on my front porch and the leaf vines running through the old fashioned "gingerbread" on my front porch. I love fall in Missouri. A winery trip is also a favorite fall event with my family and friends.

I always wait to scrapbook the previous years fall activities until late summer so it puts me in the mood for Autumn. All the rich colors and textures of my scrapping products do as much for me as the changing colors of the leaves outside!

Oh fall is my favorite time of year. We go apple picking with the whole family and have plenty of caramel dip on hand!!!!! My son's favorite way to celebrate fall is to have me rake the leaves in a big pile and of course he jumps in them!!!! LOL!!

We just went to the Pumpkin patch took a bunch of photos and each kid bought a pumpkin. We plan on carving this weekend before heading out Trick o treating. My mind is already planning Thanksgiving and starting my Christmas shopping. Budgeting is the key this year for me. Thanks for the fun giveaway.

Love the shout out for Songbird Ave. - very cool!
I find myself celebrating fall by cooking/baking more and giving away my creations. It seems so appropriate to take homemade applesauce or peanut butter cookies to the neighbors to enjoy. And of course my family loves to play in the leaves, go camping, decorate, etc.
Thanks Ali!

How do we celebrate fall? Wow, I am a mom that lives for starting new traditions and keeping the ones of my childhood that still mean so much to me. Some of our favorite ways to celebrate fall is the "cleaning of our yard", we all go out and rake, fill up our compost with all the goodies we cleaned up in the yard, then we sit out by a fire drinking hot cocoa to celebrate our hard work.

For us, we pull out the fall & Halloween decorations, start making our favorite cool weather recipes, carve pumpkins, and get a family photo for our Christmas cards. We LOVE Autumn!

My son comes home from school one afternoon in October to find his room has been transformed into a "spooky room" with spider webs and other fun decorations (my daughter still prefers the "cute" decorations, so she gets the pumpkins and cats). Other traditions are pumpkin patch, carving jack-o-lanterns, costumes, fall festivals & leaf-pile jumping!

Fall is the season I love most! My Aniversary and Birthday are both in the fall, so my heart is its fullest in the fall. Our fall traditions are all about family and anticipating the cool weather (and absence of mosquitos! - since we are from the south). We love going to the Air Show, Rennaisance Festival, and of course seeing all the children enjoying the Fall Festival at our church.

Our family celebrates Fall with a walk at the Outlet Trail in PenYann NY. It is an old flour mill trail on a river between two of the Finger Lakes. Rusted railroad tracks grown over with tumbling down mill stacks. It is beautiful with a backdrop of gorgeous leaves.

We all love fall here in Illinois, apple picking, going to the pumpkin patch, walks in the woods to find leaves to press, and of course Halloween.
This is the one time of year I pretend I can sew and make the kids Halloween costumes. This year I am making an Evel Knievel jumpsuit complete with cape and stars and stripes!
