Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We celebrate by making pumpkin cakes & bringing out our terra cotta jack-o-lantern. We bring out the candle lights for the windows, and make it as cozy as we can!

Fall means Halloween for us and Halloween is a BIG deal at our house, especially as our boys got older. Now that they are grown, it still is a special time...I begin at the first sign of the season, gathering up the newest and neatest treats as soon as they hit the store shelves...a real hit was the first year that I found individual pkgs. of microwave popcorn...even the BIG kid Trick or Treaters were impressed. I usually dress in costume to pass out the treats and our house gets decorated both inside and out...eerie lighting and sometimes even the music to accompany the season...Ghostbusters, Monster Mash, etc. What silly fun but FUN!

We head to the pumpkin patch. Have caramel apples, kettle korn and check out the haunted houses! No matter how old the kids get, they still enjoy it!

Fall is by far my favorite season!! We celebrate by surrounding ourselves with friends & family. It is a wonderful time where life seems to slow down a little so we can reflect on all our blessings. A time to gather and to enjoy & appreciate the people and things that mean the most to us in life. Simply perfect in my book... Thanks and have a wonderful week. KristinA

Ooooh, I'm on the east coast, but I may be just squeaking in before the deadline. In New England, fall is all about the foliage. Raking leaves and jumping in them, feeling them rustle under your shoes, watching them float to the ground, driving around the hills just to check out the colors. I love fall!

Fall is finding the perfect class decoration for my dil preK kids. Buying crafts for my two grands and their classes, helping everyone have fun doing them and then heading off to Stone Mountain, Ga to celebrate Thanksgiving with my husband, son and his remarkable family. We cook dinner on an open fire at the campground, ride bikes, play ball and build the most wonderful memories we can share forever!

We don't have a typical fall here in SoCal. Still 80's and 90's outside every day. We're also from Hawaii where there's no such thing as fall so my only fall tradition would be to use darker nail polish on my toes. Still wearing flip flops but just more fall colors in my wardrobe, etc. LOL.

It's simple, but we make a huge pile of leaves, and then play, play, play. All four of my kids love this. It's a great activity for involving my 6-year-old daughter that has lots of developmental delays. She loves the sound of the crackling leaves.

We celebrate fall by harvesting the bountiful crop. My husband's family celebrated their 60th harvest of sugar beets this year!! Riding in the trucks and tractors with them is such a tradition of the season. Our 3 year old just LOVES it.

There are a few things we do to celebrate fall. We always hit the wine trails in western Michigan with friends and also take in all the gorgeous fall color. We rake up all the teeny tiny leaves into big piles and then play in them, and we always decorate the house for halloween and then fall/Thanksgving. Who doesn't love this time of the year. Perfect weather, amazing colors and yummy foods like taffy apples, pumpkin pie and tons of candy!

Fall in Texas are cool mornings and hot afternoons. We celebrate Fall by craving pumpkins, going to diferent festivals/ carnivals, making Halloween costumes and begin the decoration of Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas.

In Michigan when I can get there in the fall we go to the farm nearby and take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, we choose our pumpkins, the kids run through the patch, we take photos of course. Then back to the wagon and back home.

We celebrate fall by making a trip to the pumpkin patch each year. We have a family carving night and the kids draw faces on their pumpkins. I also love to bake mega oatmeal cookies with cranberries and white chocolate chips!

When I heard that my sweet sixteen year old son's favorite dessert was pumpkin bars I knew I had to make a lot of them this season!
