Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We love to celebrate fall (or Autumn as I call it!) by making the post of the lovely weather. Neither too hot nor too cold it's lovely at this time of year. And all the colours are so pretty too. So basically we get out and about as much as we can, day trips are my favourite thing at this time of year.

Wow - fun give away!! The best part of fall is the crisp air and warm fuzzy quilts to cuddle under. We celebrate life.

When we lived in the mid-west, trips to the apple orchard and pumpkin patches were always a big hit. Now that we're in Florida, the temps are just starting to cool enough to make outside activities fun again. The kayaks get launched, the camper gets packed up, and we spend lots of time outside. Opening up the house and feeling the breeze blow through is one of the simplest pleasures!

We do all the traditional things, but for me..Fall is retreat season. I head to NY in September, Ohio in October and NH in November. I actually do some scrapping in between all the fun!

Pumpkin patch, apple cider, turning down the AC to build a fire in the fireplace (it's in the upper 80'sF outside) and a faux fall tree in the living room. It is a stick with wire branches that have yellow and orange maple leaves all over it. Since everything here stays green it is the only plant that 'looks like Fall' (according to my daughter).

I celebrate the fall season with the traditional trip to the pumpkin farm and unhealthy amounts of hot caramel apple cider topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. :) Yum!

We celebrate with lot's of cider at nights, sweet yams and many... soups! I decorate my tables at home with little pumpkins then later roast the seeds. :o)

Starting to really love fall around here (Atlanta, Georgia). Finally a break in the heat! Breaking out the sweaters, hot tea, hot chocolate, picking out pumpkins, Halloween.
Thanks for the week in a life project - am really enjoying it!

Lots of yummy baked goods with ingredients like apple, pumpkin, and cinnamon. Lots of time outside on the porch, walking around campus breathing in the cool air and praying the humidity never returns. :)

Fall is my favorite season!!! We have been to three apple orchards, raspberry picking (until a hard frost), fall festivals at the local nature center and farm and my favorite - a fall nature hike around a local lake. After the hike, the kids made fall faces out of the sticks, pebbles and leaves they collected (photos on my blog). I also love to bake, so fall means lots of apple crisp, apple sauce, pumpkin muffins and ginger cookies!

We always visit a beautiful pumpkin patch that is right in our neighborhood. I specifically remember how blue the sky looks from this local farmer's market at this time of year. It's just gorgeous

Fall in north Georgia is celebrated with a trip to the pumpkim farm where we enjoy a hay ride, corn maze and apple sling shot. We buy our jack-o-lantern pumpkins and one for a pie. This year we also bought sweet potatoes, peaches, apples and homemade fritters and fried pies.
    Fall is my FAVORITE season!!!!!!!!!!!

We live in Massachusetts where we get a real fall, so there's lots to do. Our favorite fall activity is to go apple picking at a local farm. We pick apples then head over to their farm stand where we get fresh apple cider donuts to eat on the car ride home. One of our other favorite fall activities is to go out on a nice fall day and take pictures of all the leaves changing color. We did that just this past weekend and I got some really beautiful shots.

We love the apple orchards! Every year we come home with way more apples than we could ever eat. So we have applesauce, apple bread, apple pancakes, apple crisp, etc. for weeks!

We always set out lots of fall decorations, including my favorite scarecrow. We usually take a trip to the local Renissance Festival during their Halloween festivities, visit the local October Fest, the pumkin patch, and trick-or-treat. Throw in 2 birthdays in mix and you can see that our October is busy, busy. But it is my favorite time of year.

We celebrate fall by taking drives in the country. We stop and get coffee first and then head out. Different direction each weekend. It is a great way to relax and catch up with one another. My husband has a day job as well as our photography business, so the time away is the only time he does relax!

One way we celebrate fall is making big leaf piles and the whole family jumps in! We all have lots of fun. Nothing say fall like raking and jumping in leaf piles! Thanks for all the inspiration.

After living in Boston for nearly 20 years--fall in Houston was a shock. I enjoy it--it's just different. Celebrating fall here means hoping for days when you can wear a sweatshirt with shorts and flip-flops! Oh, and the pumpkin muffins--we bake them and eat them--they help us forget it's 80 degrees and sunny.

Fall seems all too short here in MN so it's not my favorite season. But playing in the leaves is a sure sign that fall is here.

We always celebrate fall by going to the apple orchard by our house. We buy honeycrisp apples (created by our alma mater the University of Minnesota), and then we drive down the road to the local winery to purchase their delicious wines. Lots of warm sweaters, hooded sweatshirts, light mittens, and apple cider. Delightful.
