This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.

• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

We usually go out to dinner....but not on Valentine's Day...we live in a big city so all the restaurants have ridiculous 2-3 hour waits on that day so we go out either the day before or day after.

Hope that you are feeling well, Ali! To celebrate Valentines Day, we make it a family affair. My hubby and I cook a heart healthy meal with our kids (ages 8 and 6). We eat and laugh together...usually because my hubby does something gross with his food! Each of us receives a small heart shaped box of chocolate, and we exchange cards. Even though we tell each other that we love each other (often on any regular day) its a nice way to spend with our family!

This year will be an exceptional valentine's day for me and my family - my brother, who has been a bachelor ALL OF HIS LIFE and who is 61 years old, will be married on Valentine's day!! The family is beyond excited that he has found the woman of his dreams at this late age!! So his fiance has asked that I make their Valentine wedding scrapbook as their gift! Oooooh it would be so great to have some fun Valentine scrapbooking supplies!!! Cathy

Hi Ali! We have always made Valentine's day special at our house. I always make door hangers for the kids and make heart shaped waffles. I put a note and a treat in their lunchbags and at supper we have a candlelit supper of heart shaped pizza! Of course we decorate the house too. The kids look forward to it every year!

I usually just make a nice meal and some sort of yummy dessert. Now that we have a little boy I'm sure we'll start doing something different over the next couple of years though!

We actually don't do a whole lot for Valentine's Day around here. I have three boys (one not yet in school) and last year I stuck a little note with some Kisses in the oldest one's lunch box for a surprise. He loved it and I think this will be a new tradition.

the boy and i really don't go all out for valentines day. i always get him valentines day boxers from old navy and he usually gets me a small gift card to hobby lobby or borders. i also always try to make him something- last year i made him the darling felt book you posted. then we always go eat at our favorite restaurant, little tokyo.
it's laid back, but our lives are so busy, it's really a treat to spend that time together. especially since the restaurant is kind of a hidden springfield secret, it's usually not busy.

I love Valentine's Day! For many years I've made little bags for my kids, stuffed with their favorite goodies - they are now grown, with two new additions to the family, and I look forward to many new additions to come - and Yes, I will continue making their Love bags forever! :)

My hubby and I love celebrating Valentine's Day. We always set a price limit - usually $20.00 and try to see how far we can stretch that. Once year he created an entire "Choose Your Own Adventure" scenario and I got to decide how we were going to spend our evening as I made my way through each "station" in the house. Sigh. I guess I'll keep him!

We usually celebrate with my husband taking our girls to the school Daddy / Daughter dance! We ususally buy the girls a little something and they usually make Daddy something; a scrapbook, card, etc.

When the girls were in college, I would send a little goodie box for Valentine's Day. Now that they are out on their own, I think I will do that again. I miss the fun of collecting some sweet things to share with them and making cards. Thanks for the inspiration.

every year for the past few years now, I have been taking time to make a mini "love" album for my husband. It's the time of year for me to put a little focus on telling him how much he means to us. Each year I have the boys either draw a picture, or now that they are older, write some words about how they feel about Daddy and about how and why we love him. He cherishes these little albums and displays them in his office. I think it's special to each of us!

We start the day with heart shaped cinnamon rolls and hide little gifts in unexpected places for each other (book bags, purse, coat pockets, etc.). Later that evening, we have dinner at home by candlelight.

My fiancee and I try to do a special meal together, whether we go out or stay in and set the table with candles and wine. It doesn't have to be fancy, I just like taking special time to reconnect with other. Last year I made a small mini-book for him from digital scrapbook pages. I haven't decided what to make him this year.

We don't do something all that special. I'll get the kids some little chocolates or a new webkinz.
I'll tell husband not to do anything yet he'll come home with some over-priced flowers.
But this year my parent's will be visiting us over Valentine's. So we may do a big heart craft with the kids. And they'll babysit while husband and I go out and just enjoy each other.
    Simple. Nice.

I like to focus on friendship, kindness and doing nice things for others with my five year old daughter. Random Acts of Kindness week is right around Valentine's Day. We brainstorm things we could do for others.
We make cards and little goody bags for her class. :)

Unfortunately we don't do anything in particular. I would be more into it if my husband was...I like cards and small gifts, but he just isn't into it, so my entusiasm has dropped significantly over the past few years. I'm definitely not into the fancy dinners though. Just give me a card and a smooch and I'm happy!

I like to do something that does not involve candy for my girls. Last year, I got them both personalized, red-striped aprons from Pottery Barn Kids.
Both girls love to be in the kitchen and helping - even the 19-month old! - so they will be able to use the aprons for years to come.
Then, I made my then 6-year old a lunch with a heart-shaped sandwich (metal cookie cutters are good for this) and I think I even used them on a cheese slice, too.
I haven't decided on this year but it will probably involve my cookie cutters and a red or pink treat.

So glad I looked at your post today, Ali. I just signed on to ClickinMoms.com yesterday!
Anyway, my almost 7 year old daughter was born on Valentine's Day. As you can imagine that day is very special to us. We celebrate with lots of hearts, love, pink and red. We usually do a family thing together and share things we love about each other.

When I was a little girl, my dad always brought me and my brother candy in a heart shaped box from Russell Stover. It was a smaller box with maybe 10 pieces but it was red and shiny and made me feel SO grown up and special. Now that we have two daughters of our own, my husband buys them a box of candy each year. They love it as much as I did!

Our anniversary is the week before, and we will be celebrating 12 years!...
so we don't really do much between us. But i do make a special breakfast for our DS (and since it is on a Sunday, we all get to enjoy it!) and a special dinner filled with our favorites (YUM!). I decorate the dinner table with flowers and after dinner we exchange our small gifts of love.
I will usually make heart shaped brownies or cookies and my DS and i will hand deliver them to DH's work, but this year and last we got to eat them all ourselves!;)
I made a craft project last year, that we will bring out and write new hearts for it. I bought a small metal "tree" and on each branch i've hung a heart diecut. On each heart (4 for each of us) we write "i love" ________ because.....", and we read them aloud after dinner. I loved hearing what my DS wrote, the things that then 5 year olds think of! Can't wait for this year!
    Awesome giveaways! Thanks Ali!
