I Scrapbook
To celebrate relationships.
And everyday moments.
To remember minutes that pass by in an instant.
And what it was like when it was just three of us.
To capture stuff like this.
And this.
And this.
And this.
And this.
To tell my story.
And his.
And his.
And hers.
And ours.
To pay closer attention to everyday life.
To create and play and experiment.
To embrace life.
[ The above was adapted from my Keynote presentation at CKU's in 2008 ]

just have to say like everyone else ...just a beautiful post. It is amazing how time flies with your oldest and how it all comes rushing back with your second. Enjoy every minute!

THANK YOU, Ali, for posting this. I was at one of your CKU keynotes last year, and was moved to tears by it then, just as I am now. You just put it so, so beautifully -- and it reflects exactly how I feel about this amazing pastime of ours. You are such an inspiration. Love your work. :)

Thank you, Ali. Just today I was re-examining why I scrapbook and if it is something that I want to continue to do. The answer is yes and you explained why so eloquently.
Thanks!

What a beautiful post! I have been enjoying your blog for about a month now, but have never posted. I have a three year old and a five month old. It is hard to savor my little one while taking care of a preschooler, but I am trying. EVERYTIME my little one naps I sneak in and take a peek at her. I just want to soak it all up because I know this time won't last. Your page of your little one and the words "The quiet moments make my heart overflow" is perfectly fitting for me too. My heart overflows!

I love todays post! I scrapbook for the same reasons and get so emotional looking back at layouts over the years. So much better than just looking at a bunch of pictures in a regular photo album :)
