Got this cool email yesterday that I thought was worth sharing from Scrapbook.com:
Scrapbook.com recently planted 4,000 trees in Honduras. We can plant even more with your help!
For three days only, from Earth Day to Arbor Day (April 22-24, 2009), Scrapbook.com will plant an additional tree in Honduras for each order we receive. Simply shop for your favorite items in the Superstore, checkout just as you normally would, and we'll plant a tree as our way of saying "thank you."
Come celebrate the environment with us!
And here's something to you may want to consider in the scrapbook.com store...the new HUGE 2.5 x 2.5 inch clever lever square punch or the 3.5 inch circle punch from Marvy. As someone who LOVES LOVES LOVES square punches I can't tell you how happy I am to see this larger version of my favorite punch.
And just so you know...the square punch is advertised as a 3.5 inch punch which is actually measured on the diagnol vs. the width and height. The width and height is right about 2.5 inches - the largest I have come across.
Look for a second post coming around noon pacific later today.
Love what Scrapbook.com is doing - saw this earlier in the week and everylittle bit adds up to help us all.
Love the bigger punches also - thanks for sharing.
Have a great day - we are covered in about 6 inches of snow today!! Yah for springtime

Ooh, gotta have that square punch!! Shipping to Europe makes it too expensive but as soon as we move I'm ordering myself one of those! :)

I use my square punch so often...especially to make "season in review" pages with leftover pics from each season. I'd love to get a bigger square but it's hard to pay $26 for one punch when I know I could actually cut the squares with my paper cutter! I'll have to work myself up to that one.

Hi Ali, thinking about punches, I have many punches of various leaves that were popular some years ago (now taking up valuable space in my closet and unused). Can you suggest some uses for them...or should I donate them to one of my grandchildren's schools?

I bet the schools would LOVE them. If you still love them maybe keep one and donate the rest.

Love, Love, Love this punch! In honor of Earth Day, my class used my old scraps and newspapers to decoupage empty glass jars. They loved it and I loved seeing them be creative and learn about reusing and repurposing. Kudos to Scrapbook.com!

Good idea. Perhaps I'll keep the fern and a small leaf to use with the few flower punches I'm going to keep.

Love love love my large lever square punch - bought it on your rec Ali, but was hard finding in Australia. mine is slightly smaller, at just under 2 1/1" by 2 1/4". Definitely going to try and source this one. My square punch is one of the tools I can't do without.

I was on a quest to find larger and larger punches until I found the Fiskars "Ultra Shape Express" It's a freehand cutter, but also comes with stencils for cutting shapes. I swear it's almost as easy as using a punch, and the templates offer larger sizes. It's on their web site here: http://fiskarscrafts.com/tools/t_ultra-shapexpress-starter-set-1.aspx but I think they do a pretty bad job of explaining what it is/how it works. This video shows it better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UQNn4ZJDWw Anyone else tried this thing?

Hi Ali! I am a High School Student, have my own greeting card buisness, and I just love your work and what you do! I am starting to think about colleges and want to go into graphic design. I was wondering where you went to school and do you have any recommendations on schools?
