I would say: There is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. Figuring out your style and what you like is part of the creative process.

My advice would be to only buy the supplies you love. I bought way too many pieces of paper because they were on sale, not because I actually liked them, and then never ended up using them. Same goes for embellishments, etc.

Try to not be overwhelmed by all the supplies you can buy, just go with the basics at first. And you can scrapbook your pictures in any order you want to.

My best advice would be to start with the necessities. A good paper trimmer, a good adhesive and some good cardstock choices. I have so many punches and scissors from my early days that NEVER get used. I can't bear to throw them out though. Also journal on your pages. I have pages that I put off the journaling for a later time, and now can't remember some of the people's names! Even if you just take the time to write it down on a sticky note and stick it to the page protector,at least you have something to go back to. Otherwise you will forget.

My advice is not to get too much stuff - I speak as one who is pairing down to the basics to move overseas and it's making me feel so much more productive and creative. Simple all the way! :-)

My advice is don't compare your style to others'. Keep notes about techniques you want to try, and then try them your way. Invest in tools to start.

My advice for a new scrapbooker would be to focus on the story and the pics. It is soooo easy to get caught up in all the products which are amazing. Try new things a little at a time and add to your stash. I think it is so easy to become overwhelmed by all the amazing products and ideas you can try.

that there is no set"way" to scrap. It is art, it is an expression of who you are and the way you feel. No one else will see it or feel it the same way you will.

When I started scrapbooking, someone told me to start scrapping what was happening in our lives right now, and don't worry too much about the past. That has stayed with me for a long time. Eventually, scrapping the past comes naturally, but I don't stress about trying to catch up. Scrap the now!

You don't need to accumulate "stuff" because in the end, less is always more.

This may even be advice I should follow more closely myself.... If you are documenting the pics and the details, that is the important thing. Do not get caught up on creating the "perfect" layout. JUST DO IT!!!

Scrapbooking doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. What makes a scrapbook page is a picture (or more), some paper, some good adhesive, and your heart.

My advice would be...just do it and have fun! Enjoy the process and the results will be that much more sweet. It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. Be proud of your story...it's one that matters.

mY advice to a new scrapbooker would be to take your photos that you want to scrap with you and only buy the supplies for that project. I find I have accumulated so much stuff that I haven't used.

My advice would be to start out with the basics and focus on photos and stories. Don't worry about having the "right" embellishment or "right" design. Scrapbooking is about sharing your story - the other stuff is just an added bonus.

My best advice would be to start simple. You only need pictures, adhesive and some cardstock to start. Find your style before you go and buy lots of stuff!

I would tell a new scrapper that you don't have to scrap every picture. Do not be intimidated by everything you see out there. There is no wrong way to scrap so just scrap what makes you happy. Tell your story and have fun.

When I first started scrapbooking I wish someone had told me to "embrace imperfection". I didn't get that advice until I had been scrapbooking for a while and attended one of your classes. Once I heard that I allowed myself to sit down and just jump right in. I didn't worry about sketching or measuring anymore- because I knew that if I made a mistake it was all going to be ok! Those two little words are always playing in my head- and not just when I scrapbook! Thanks, Ali!
