And a little later by email...

Simon: "When I grow up tall like mom....When I grow up tall like Ali...I won't need the booster seat!"

Chris: "Are you thinking a lot about growing up this morning?"

Simon: "Yes, I am."

Yeah, those conversations are funny. I don't have any kids yet, but one time when I was little I asked my mom, while she was holding me, if she ever got scared when she looked down. My mom, who is 5'4" and has always been told she's short, thought it was a great compliments. Now I'm 5'4", and if I look down and think about that, it makes you laugh.

Oh, and I like how you made a photo of the message, that's a cool way of preserving a message too!
Oh, and my son wanted bunkbeds in his room when he was little. He was going to marry his friend, and she and him were going to sleep in the topbed, and my husband and I could sleep in the lower bed. LOL!

I love it! My nephew would call my brother by his first name all the time. When my brother would ask if this bothers him, he would say, "Don't you call your best friend by his first name?" Thanks for this sweet reminder. Now I have another memory of my brother to document. (he has been gone 10 years now.)

Heh. I went through a phase when I was little of calling my parents by their first names. They made me stop doing it pretty quickly.

OMG! Love this! I'm sooooo addicted to my new iPhone and this story is so funny. Isn't the iPhone brilliant for story captures (and, have you used the cool digital recorder yet)?
Also, I love the discussion going on. Duncan frequently refers to us by our first names, too, and wonders why we have this odd convention. And, he thinks it's super funny that we do (e.g., two names for mom -- Liz and Mom -- two names for Dad, two names for the each grandparent, etc.). That's an analytical mind at work for you!

Oh my goodness, this made my day. How sweet. Our daughter recently said when she grew up she wanted to live in "Chinese" but that Dad would probably have to drive her there. The future sure seems like an awfully big adventure in those young minds!

An allergy is a type of immune reaction. Normally, the immune system responds to foreign microorganisms or particles by producing specific proteins called anti-bodies.
