Sponsor Giveaways: SewCute Shop

Sewcutegiveaway

One person will receive a Women's Auty Top from SewCute Shop (you will be able to choose your own fabric from her current stock):

Here's a little bit about SewCute Shop and Brandy's mission to do something really good for another family:

I started sewing sometime last year and fell in love. My grandmother (Nana) taught me the basics of pinning patterns, hemming, and seams. After being taught those skills I have really been a self-taught seamstress. I have a true love for putting the most trendy fabrics together and making 'SewCute' items. The items I place in SewCute Shop are my favorites and I am very happy to make them for you.

In March 2009 my best friend's little boy was suddenly diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) - a degenerative brain disease. The movie 'Lorenzo's Oil was made to bring awareness to this newly discovered disease. In early April, Joel, Teresa and Riley Greene aka TEAMGREENE were moved from Chattanooga, TN to Durham, NC where Riley would spend what they thought 100 days after receiving a bone marrow transplant. Due to complications, this week marks 133 TEAMGREENE has been in Duke Hospital.

I made a pledge to donate all proceeds from SewCute Shop to TEAMGREENE until they returned home in Chattanooga. For me sewing has become much more than just a hobby it has been a small part of what allows my best friend to stay by her son's side. For more information on TEAMGREENE visit www.carepages.com/carepages/teamgreene and create a username/password.

When I'm not sewing away I enjoy spending time with my fabulous husband, Ty and two children Autumn (9) and Tyler (2).

I had Brandy make one of these for Anna (see above) and one of these for me (love wearing it over my jeans) and they are awesome.

Those are so cute, and what a big heart she has! My favorite charity is Smile Train, an organization that trains medical professionals in underprivileged areas to repair cleft lips and palates for those who would otherwise be unable to have the surgery. We think they probably repaired our daughter's lip before we brought her home from Bulgaria.

2 charities/causes I'm currently supporting as a Pampered Chef Consultant are Help Whip Cancer campaign which benefits American Cancer Society with breast cancer education and early detection (May & October) and Round Up from the Heart campaign which helps the Food Bank Network, Feeding America. I am a big fan of Habitat for Humanity and helped last year on a women's only build day. I only wish I could do more! Thanks for the giveaway and chance to share some good news!

I love Project Linus (http://www.projectlinus.org/). My daughter received a blanket while she was in the hospital and it meant a lot to both her and I.

Those are absolutely beautiful! I think I would have to pick the Salvation Army as one of my favorites. But I love to help any of the charities that ask for my help.

but more importantly....since linking to some of your blog followers and those who left comments I found a NEW charity that I will be sure to support....
    http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/
I watched the clip that Kerry Sanders (?) did for the Today show on this group... and C R I E D ! Wept !
"without the photos, the memories fade".... TO THE POINT ! ! ! The jest....local photographers donate their time to take photos of newborns/ families who experience the death of the baby before or just after birth.... some SO TINY ! some with tubes ! some alone... some held by siblings / family... EACH ONE BEAUTIFULLY CAPTURED LIFE ! (despite how brief)
oh how I cried and prayed that I had had a bit more patience today with my own kids...
    the photos are extraordinary !
    the story is sweet !
the whole thing was life changing for me !
thank you to who ever your blog commenter was to enlighten me. YOU (somewhere on the first page of comments) deserve the Sew Cute top!

Friends of ours lost their son during labour - he had Trisomy 18...a condition where the baby's organs are formed outside of its body in the womb. It was and is a heart breaking time for them. Thank God there are organizations so willing to help people get through such a terrible experience. It also makes me thankful I was blessed with three healthy babies.

My husband was diagnosed a year ago at 35 with lymphoma. He is now in remission. We are very fortunate as it was found very early. Typically patients are given 6 - 25 months to live. Very scary with three children ages 5 and under. We are very blessed. http://www.cancer.org/

My favorite charity has got to be Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse. I think it is a perfect way to get my children involved in making a Christmas just as special for children who are less fortunate than them and to enlighten my kids on the reality that there are many children in the world who are.
