Sponsor Giveaways: SewCute Shop

Sewcutegiveaway

One person will receive a Women's Auty Top from SewCute Shop (you will be able to choose your own fabric from her current stock):

Here's a little bit about SewCute Shop and Brandy's mission to do something really good for another family:

I started sewing sometime last year and fell in love. My grandmother (Nana) taught me the basics of pinning patterns, hemming, and seams. After being taught those skills I have really been a self-taught seamstress. I have a true love for putting the most trendy fabrics together and making 'SewCute' items. The items I place in SewCute Shop are my favorites and I am very happy to make them for you.

In March 2009 my best friend's little boy was suddenly diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) - a degenerative brain disease. The movie 'Lorenzo's Oil was made to bring awareness to this newly discovered disease. In early April, Joel, Teresa and Riley Greene aka TEAMGREENE were moved from Chattanooga, TN to Durham, NC where Riley would spend what they thought 100 days after receiving a bone marrow transplant. Due to complications, this week marks 133 TEAMGREENE has been in Duke Hospital.

I made a pledge to donate all proceeds from SewCute Shop to TEAMGREENE until they returned home in Chattanooga. For me sewing has become much more than just a hobby it has been a small part of what allows my best friend to stay by her son's side. For more information on TEAMGREENE visit www.carepages.com/carepages/teamgreene and create a username/password.

When I'm not sewing away I enjoy spending time with my fabulous husband, Ty and two children Autumn (9) and Tyler (2).

I had Brandy make one of these for Anna (see above) and one of these for me (love wearing it over my jeans) and they are awesome.

The Make A Wish Foundation is my favorite. http://www.wish.org/
When we got married I didn't want to do those stupid favors that everyone throws away anyway so instead we made a donation to make a wish on behalf of each of our guests.
I love how they give kids who are really sick a chance to make their dreams come true. I believe everyone deserves a chance to make that happen.

Very cute - our favorite charity and one close to our heart right now is Lions Foundation of Canada who provide service dogs.
We are currently on the wait list to get a service dog for our youngest Brody, who has Autism. We can't wait.

That's so amazing to hear that these stunning items are being made for a personal charity - so inspiring to watch women powering forward together.
For quite a while, I have had close links with ADHASA, our national support group for ADHD families. They are amazing at softening the blow that diagnosis brings, and turning the shock into a positive knowledge, along with great practical assistance http://www.adhasa.co.za/

My favorite charity is http://www.acceleratedcure.org/ . I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 3 years ago. My husband roommate from college sits on the board of directors for Acclerated Cure and I was lucky enough to get in contact with them. Through them I found a wonderful neurologist who put me on medication and I haven't had any problems to date. They are a wonderful organization that is doing a ton of work to find out the cause of MS and how we can cure it.

I'm a professional development (fundraising) officer for the University of Minnesota. . . and have worked for great organizations my entire career in development. So this is a big question for me b/c my personal philanthropy is also very important to me. This year I became involved with the Minnesota Literacy Council through training to become an adult literacy tutor. I'm so, so impressed with their work, outreach, and professionalism. http://www.themlc.org/

I love what Brandy is doing! I wish TEAMGREENE all the best and hope they can get back home to Chattanooga very soon!
Some of my favorite charities are:
    American Heart Association: http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=1200000
Both my father and grandfather passed away from heart disease.
    USO:
    http://www.uso.org/
I come from a military family, with my own father having served 20 years in the Army. I'm a huge supporter of anything military.
My company does a lot for United Way, so I support this as well. We also participate in other causes during the year: Salvation Army (we sponsor angels on the angel tree), Local School (we have a huge school supply drive every year in August), Ronald McDonald House (we sponsor a group of 3 ladies who now live in a house together), Military (we send care packages to friends and family members of coworkers), Animal Shelters (we collect newspapers, blankets, towels, treats, and toys), and so on...
Thanks for letting us share our favorite charities! I'm enjoying reading about charities that I haven't heard of. =)

I'm involved in Chemo Angels. They help to cheer people who are going through chemotherapy by assigning "Angels" to them. The Angels send cards, little gifts, etc., once a week at least to let the person know someone out there is thinking of them.
