2010Words
Image created via Wordle.

I spent a couple hours yesterday going back through all the comments listing your one little words and the reasons/thoughts behind them. It's always so cool to see all these words listed together. I am working on a layout for my word this year and hope to share it next week.

Below, the words. If I accidentally missed yours please add a comment below and I will add it to the list (I am updating throughout the day). These words are beautiful and powerful and subtle and really can make a difference in your life. Cheers to 2010.

One of the big things I noticed as I read back through all the words
yesterday is that most people want to make some sort of change in their
lives such as a subtraction or an addition. You might be interested in checking out Leo Batuba's (Zen Habits) new blog about habits
called 6 Changes.

I'm doing this for the first time this year. I've been trying out a few words, adventure (that's me all the time tho)... me, to be able to focus on me more... they didn't seem to fit. Today I was reading a blog by Melody Ross. My life has been similar to hers and has left me grounded and just not feeling like myself. So, I'm going to borrow a word from her... FLY. It's a word that I've used before and it is very appropriate. I want to be able to fly again. There's a song by Amy Grant called I'm Gonna Fly.

Hi Ali, I love this. My word is... ease
It came to me and when I looked up the definition, it just seemed to fit. I hope you can add it to this amazing list. Many blessings to you in the new year, thanks for all you do to inspire so many!

My word and goal for 2010 is "Seek." As in "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteosness, and all these things will be added to you." It is so simple but so complex, and I want to Seek the personhood, the life, the family, the work that He created me for. Thanks for inspiring!
    Blessings,
    Nicole

My word is not on the list yet: LEAD
I need to be more of a leader in my life, rather than a follower or a passenger along for the ride while other people drive.
Also I want to step up and be more of a leader in my community and family.

My word - finally !! - is PRECIOUS. I really want this year to be about hings that are precious to me, or that should be more precious in the sense of where I spend my time. Like my DD, who I really struggle with as she is so demanding and I am, essentially, a very selfish person, my faith and my health. All of these are precious to me and do not get the attention they deserve.

You didn't miss my word, but just wanted to say thank you for the compilation... I've looked forward to this post since last year, it helps just to read and ponder the words of each person and how I can also incorporate their words into my life. This year, in addition to my own word focus, I've printed the list and will cut them into strips and try to pick a word for each day. Thank you, Ali.

    my word is Details.
I want to take more detail photography shots to keep me/inspire me to practice!

Brilliant, inspiring list of words. I love each and everyone. After much thought my word is "rediscover". I know my life is full of fantastic stuff, which sometimes just gets buried beneath all the day to day chores. I want to rediscover them all this year and appreciate them more.

My word is PROCESS. I am more peaceful on the inside when I allow the PROCESS of whatever I am doing to unfold. I love the accomplishment, the goal, the acheivement, but now I am going to add the joy of the PROCESS. Imagine what will be revealed as I focus on the PROCESS of my relationships, on my children growing and learning, on my art, on my spirtual life, on my soul.
