Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

    HI Ali-
Wonderful giveaways! I've also enjoyed reading fellow blog readers "one word." My word for 2010 is Intentional. So Im starting to be more mindful of all the foods I put in my mouth... and making time for myself, and keeping in touch with others.
Thank you so much! Happy New Year!

This year, I've chosen the word "try" as my word for the year because it is usually the one thing that I don't do but expect others to do!

I've chosen PURPOSE. I feel with all the turmoil in my life this past year, I seem to have missed out on the little things in life. This year I plan on finding a purpose for the every day stuff instead of just going thru the motions.

My word is FAMILY! I plan to spend as much time with my family as possible. 2010 is a big year for us! Both of my brother's wives are pregnant and are having babies in 2010...and I'm getting married!
I can't wait for all the happiness that 2010 will bring!

    Happy New Year Ali,
My word for 2010 is photograph. The action that I am taking is planning a weekend with my sisters and mom to go through 50+ years of family photos and getting them organized so we can tell our family story for future generations. It is going to be a good year!

My word for this year is BALANCE. As a mom of three little ones, a wife to a police officer, and a full time psychotherapist, it's hard to give the attention to all of the areas in my life that need my attention. I need balance in order to ensure that I am taking care of myself. I tell my clients all of the time that one can't give out of deficits, so I am taking my own advice and taking care of myself this year. I am "eating clean", crafting once per week, going on one date with girlfriends and one date with my husband per month, and playing with my kids even if the laundry is piled up or there is dishes in the sink.

I haven't figured out my word yet to capture the goals that I have for myself this year, but a lot of it has to do with being organized. so today i am committing my day to organizing and purging my craft supplies so that I can focus on my goals of finishing more projects and 'catching up' on all the ideas I have!

This year i chose the word "create". I have written down the meaning, and now I am planning to make a piece of art that reflects that. When I finish it will hang in a place that I will be able to see it everyday.

Happy New Year 2010! I actually have 2 words, that also define THE action and my continuous resolution goal... "Be Present". I have already experienced (and given) so much more "quality of life" by just focusing on every element of THIS moment! :)

My word this year is patience because I haven't always been patient with my husband's plodding ways. After 50 years of marriage, I am finally at the point where I know I just have to be patient with him. Eventually he will come to a decision.

My word of the year is PATIENCE. In a world where everything moves forward at 1,000 miles an hour everyday and everything changes in a blink of an eye...we are trained to want and need everything now...from our life, our kids, our goals our material desires.
This year, I am praying for patience and to take one step at a time while enjoying the process and my family.

My word of the year is PEACE. The first thing I am going to do towards my goal is declutter my scrapbook room/office. Right now it is a disaster area and causes me great stress! I want to restore it to a place of peace and comfort for me.
