AE : Inspirations

It's been awhile since I've shared things that have been inspiring me. Here's a peek at some of the things I've been into lately:

AEdwards_GrayOval1_WithLines

SHAPE : Oval (oval journal spots coming soon to Designer Digitals)

G2010

LETTER : g (as in my little niece Gabrielle)

NUMBER : 4 (as in the four people in our family - feeling so glad to be home and to be getting back into the routine of our lives)

WORD : measure (like measuring cups and measuring the height of growing children who seem to be getting taller by the minute)

Want to play along? I'd love to hear what's inspiring you.

Ha.. G is for Gabi here too That is my little baby girl's (3yr. old) name so every time we see a G I hear Hey Mama G is for me Gabi. Baseball- Its all around especially here since both my boys are playing its on TV and we HUGE Mets Fans here so in everything I do lately its involving "baseball" talk lol. Food is another thing inspiring me right now. I have been trying to get healthier and have found that eating better doesn't have to mean eating foods that nobody would want to eat. Just have to learn how to make it and seeing all these new colors inspired me as well. Life is Good :)

The color green is inspirig me lately, we have had so much rain here but the grass and trees are a beautiful green shade that signals summer is on it's way.
Also, books are inspiring me lately. I read Rebecca Rosens ew book and I have been trying to tune into my other snenses and stop all the mind chatter that we have. Trying to live in the moment and not worry about what needs to be done or my endless to do list.

Green is definitely at the top of my favorite color list right now. And anything watercolor, not sure why, but I enjoy watercolors. I LOVE Paperclipping Roundtable. Subscribe to it on iTunes. Last weeks show with you and Tim was fun!

Congratulations, I had 3 girls then had a boy too. I remember that " blue " feeling, which is also my favorite color. We have 3 generations of girls on my moms side so it was such a nice surprise to have a boy. You will have lots of fun for sure!!!

Congrats! We were 3 girls too. When I was 11 my mom had my brother. He's 20 now and we have the best relationship. Make sure your girls know that you love them and didn't just keep having kids until you had your boy. My younger sister had a tough time with that. :-)

(I accidentally posted this on the wrong post!)
Now you have gone and done it! I am at work (a bit bored too) and you have given me a AH! moment ... that I can't do anything about! I am going to make canvases for our walls ... one with the number '5' (I have three boys) and one using K's that I have collected (though I don't have many unfortunately ... but I will just add to it as I get some!)
so I guess you are my inspiration?
And really I am NOT a stalker, I just love your style!

Grey is (and has been for a while) my favorite color. People weren't sure when I was planning our grey wedding. Seven months afterwards, I am still getting compliments on it. It's just the PERFECT color.
I'd love to read a post on your time with your sister and your girls together. Both my sisters just had baby girls 4 months apart and I am having a hard time with relating to my sisters now (I'm still in a childfree phase of my life). Thank you!

    Hi Ali,
I liked your inspirations right now. Mine is always blue with a little green right now, waiting for spring/summer time to come and stay. We've had tons of rain. Other things is reading blogs like yours and a few others that are my favorite, better homes & gardens magazine ALL of it, my kids artwork, the letters j,z,m have always been my favorite and reading about new names people pick out for their babies, crayons definately, walking thru walmart and seeing the new towels, dishes, reading my "week in the life" album it still gets to me,flowers, HGTV is also a favorite. Thanks for a fun post.

    Hi Ali,
You give me inspiration all the time. I admire you work so much. I also have been into the color grey lately but my husband says it is not a good color for me. Also my 2 year old is very inspiring.
    Have a great day,
    Charlotte

Tiffany ... as in Tiffany Blue.
Strawberries.... as in the Strawberry and Champagne reception following graduation at Vanderbilt, Strawberry Shortcake ...as in THIS (http://www.susanwisebauer.com/blog/coping-with-the-farm/may-strawberries-on-the-farm/) strawberry shortcake which really is good enough to be a meal all by itself.
Celebrations! So many new transitions in our family...From College to Navy...From High School to College...From Junior High to High School...From Kindergarten to Elementary School....the big transitions have prompted us to celebrate the small moments that make up the whole. Every bit of sidewalk art is worthy of praise for soon there will be no more. The days are passing quickly...and while I can't slow time down... I am making every effort to be in the moment!
TOMS...as in TOMS shoes! So very comfortable! How can you not love an adorable shoe that by the very act of your purchase can protect a child in Africa from elephantitis?
Pearls... one set of earrings matches every outfit.... it's my current style and I'm loving it.

Ellie, I have a daughter whose name (Gabrielle) we shorten to Gabi as well. :-) Sometimes we call her G.G. -- the nicknames are endless in our family.

    * The color green -- I can't leave it alone!
    * Ephemera -- I spent Saturday afternoon with my new Cuttlebug and a small set of flower dies cutting out flowers made of maps, dictionary pages, and vintage sheet music.
    * The new project table in my space, which allows me to leave projects out, in progress -- this has seemingly eliminated a large barrier to getting things done.

I love pearls too Linda...I had a pair long ago and think that might be something I ask for this year for my birthday. I wear diamond studs everyday that I love...but another beautifully simple addition might be just the thing.

As new to having a baby girl, I'm loving ruffles like the shirts Elizabeth Kratchner has been making and this ruffle tee: http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/CrewCutBrowse/Girl_Shop_By_Category/knitstees/collectibletees/PRDOVR~26094/26094.jsp
I also love the big script "Dream" sign on my daughter's wall just above the door that I think serves as a reminder for all of us.
Finally, I've been following Stacy Julian's Color Challenge each week. It gets me thinking about pages to make and color combinations I wouldn't usually try. It is a great exercise. I think maybe I need a similar post to this one. Thanks for the inspiration you continue to be!
