4x8 MiniBook : I Love You Today Because (Includes Free Download + Video Tutorial)
Yesterday I introduced you to a new minibook I had in progress. Here's a look at the finished project and a quick video tutorial on working with these mini line stack word art pieces (supplies are listed at the bottom of the post):
Inside cover :
Throughout this minibook I used some of my mini line stack products from Designer Digitals.
Here's a short video that will show you how to place a variety of .png files on one canvas for easy printing. Click through to Vimeo to view larger :

Intro photo :
Section One :
The embellishments I used next to each printed element were from a collection of miscellaneous products that had lost their original packaging. This is a great project for giving products like that a home.
For the page opposite each photo I created a series of journaling strips that talk about each person.
Here's a look at the page when it was first printed:
FREE DOWNLOAD : You can download the journal strips here (8.5x11): AEdwards_ILoveYouTodayBecauseJournalStrips
I completed each sentence and then used my trimmer to cut out strips.
Section Two:
Love any chance I can get to incorporate some of his writing. This one I
scanned in and printed on the same cream cardstock I used for the word
art.

Ok, I was at work all day looking forward to coming home and seeing this! It is so beautiful and inspiring. THank you so much for sharing!
Is that paper you used on the last page still available? It's the same one from your book cover, A Designers Eye, right? I've always loved it!

The photos are 8 inches x 4 inches - same size as the interior chipboard pages. I printed them here at home on my HP Photosmart B8550.

Thank you for sharing this. I had a rough day with my kids - brought them to the office and it was a disaster. I was so stressed and upset but after seeing this project it made me realize it doesn't matter. I love them in spite of everything.
Thank you!

Sooooo beautiful and wonderful, as always! I love the cover. I have several of those rub-ons by Jenni and I love how you have used one here! I wish I could take horizontal pictures more like you do. 99% of my pics are taken vertically because I struggle to frame my shots on a horizontal shot. I wish you could give me some tips! I always love your photos!!

As always: you just made it beautiful. You are totally doing my style: beautiful, but simple. You just have an amazing eye foe colors and where to put your embellishments. Love it. How long did it take you to make the album? My Son is 6 months and I don't have the time anymore that I used to. I am barely finishing my week in the life project. (Good that I selected all my stories and pictures and only need to add everything)
This album is totally worth copying :)

I worked on it in bits and pieces over at least a month :). I left it out on my table and did one thing at a time. One day selecting the papers and trimming them to size. One day printing out the digital elements and rounding the corners. One day adhering and adding the embellishments. One day printing the photos and adhering. One day printing, writing, and adhering the journaling strips. All those tasks add up over time :).
