Hooray For The Everyday

Found this great catalog in my mailbox yesterday. It wasn't really "found" because I'd requested it, but I was pretty happy to see that tagline on the cover. It's likely I'll cut it out and use it on a layout very soon.

HOORAY FOR THE EVERYDAY.

Such a good reminder. I like the word "hooray." I don't think it's used near enough.

Hooray for uncontrolled laughter in the bathtub. Hooray for small white coffee cups and crushed ice and watermelon.

Hooray for promises kept, clean lines and bagels with cream cheese.

Hooray for Harry Potter and the Wiggles and Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Hooray for cousins and sisters and grandparents who stop by and bring leftovers and sweet peas from their garden.

Hooray for eight-year-olds who can't wait to go back to school next week.

Hooray even for the things that we don't always want to shout hooray for: broken faucets, snakes in the driveway, bills, piles, deadlines, medication, appointments, dog poop on shoes, obligations, upsets, boxes, etc.

Hooray for Fridays and long weekends. I hope yours is full of lots of hoorays.

The big giveaway and the stamp membership giveaway are both open through tonight at 8pm Pacific.

I love your blog Ali (recently found) - it has made me all inspired to scrapbook more seriously, so hooray for that.
Hooray for IKEA - i love them ... when we moved here from England a few years back, my husband and I were seriously homesick, did not know anyone here. I found out that there is an IKEA not tooo far from us and we drove all the way there just to sit and drink their coffee and eat meatballs and cranberry sauce with fries, and the dishes were the same as in the UK and the people did not look too different either and we thought - we can do this - it was the first time we had felt a touch of home in a new country - silly as it sounds it helped!
Hooray for a big boy playing Playmobil all day while i packed for a weekend at the beach.
Hooray for 1 year old who melts hearts and wears her shiny bead necklaces even in the bath.
Hooray for nearly-fall and long weekends and wine and the beach and sandy feet and yes, to that hurricane being downgraded.
    Have a fab weekend everyone.

Love this! Just this morning in my kindergarten class the phrase "Hip Hip Hooray" appeared in our morning message! This of course was followed by our Hip Hip Hooray Cheer from Dr. Jean :

    Hi Ali.
Love the new site. On your old blog you had a list of great quotes. I wondered if the list had a new home on your new site, I can't seem to find it.
    thanks!

I work at IKEA up here in BC, Canada. IKEA is a great company to work for and I love that "motto". I too thought of scrapbooking when I saw it and it fits in, in so many ways. Hope you enjoy your catalog.

I too received a new IKEA catalogue this week in the UK. The tagline on the UK catalogue jumped off the page at me for different reasons it was "Live a happier life at home". I've been struggling with whether to give up work to be with my family more and this line just spoke to me. Thanks for inspiring me to use it as the basis for a layout!
