I look forward to exchanging out yearly ornaments with my boyfriend. We each pick out one for the other that captures something special about the year we had. (Last year was a little s'more snowman, remembering our camping trip with s'more desserts!)

A bit wordy...but true: The excitement of Christmas morning. It starts with my personal favorite; the opening of our stockings. We all giggle with glee as we empty the contents finding a multitude of surprises and treasures inside the carefully crafted stockings made by my mother. The kids rush to get to the toe, signifying the end of the process, and the start opening presents while I savor this process with each new discovery, wishing the sock was bottomless. The memories of Christmas mornings and our attempts to trap Santa filling our stockings are inseparable and could fill the pages of a book. I smile and think of my Mom who started it all. I hope she is smiling too.

My Love language is quality time so definitely being with those I love doing our annual traditions. Three that come to mind are 1.seeing how many people we can fit into Grandma & Grandpa's family room for the gift exchange, 2.girlfriends cookie exchange, and 3.fondue dinner - this year we're taking the fondue dinner on the road. What a memorable Christmas this will be!

This is my favorite time of year. Despite the cold and snow, the holidays bring so much warmth - faith, family, cooking & baking - just good times with those we love. I am thrilled to have a little bit of time off work to enjoy them all! And, I am looking forward to my son coming home from college.

I look forward to Christmas Eve. The kids are so excited all night, they are just giddy. I love reading the "Night Before Christmas," opening Christmas PJs, putting out cookies for Santa, all of those fun traditions.

I look forward to being around our family members. We live about 3 1/2 hours away from everyone and with our kids just starting activities we don't make it home very often. I also enjoy the Thanksgiving feast. Yummo!
