Loving

Loving that we eat tostadas once a week (probably Simon's favorite food). It's quick and easy and everyone likes it.

Loving that Simon knows the difference between acute, obtuse, and right angles. He rocked his perimeter homework last week too.

Loving that my Mom bought me s spritz Cookie Press for Christmas and gave it to me early. My Grandma made them, my Mom made them and now it's my turn.

Loving that Anna calls the Lego guys "guys."

Loving that the Harry Potter Lego guys are currently being used to play out The Polar Express story. (And now loving that they are all lined up to watch Charlie Brown Christmas with Simon.)

Loving both pairs of slippers I bought on Black Friday. These slippers from the Gap and these from Target.

Loving and savoring that Simon & Anna have watched Elmo's Christmas Countdown at once a day over the last week. I'm savoring it because I know it'll be all too soon that these years of Sesame Street and Elmo will be just a memory.

Loving the Reverb 10 prompts and needing to carve out some time to make that writing happen.

Loving that I've got a surprise planned for Simon on Friday night.

Loving twinkle lights. Always loving them.

Ali, my mom bought me a spritz cookie press last year and my kids were so excited to use it but it was hard work and they eventually lost interest. It made me appreciate all the hundreds and hundreds of cookies my mom and grandmothers would make every Christmas.

The interesting thing about children and Christmas traditions is that the holiday part of it enables children to hold on to and enjoy those traditions -- my son is almost 13 and he still loves EVERY Christmas book, every movie/show, every aspect of Christmas as he's come to know it. There's no outgrowing Christmas!

This is a great filler page when I don't have anything to scrapbook!! Great idea Ali! This is my first year doing the DD and I'm having so much fun. I didn't think I'd have the time but pages come together so easily, I go the simple route (better than nothing right?).

I've grown up with spritz at my grandma's. I love them so much, she even made them as some of the desserts at my husband and I's New Year's Eve wedding. Last year, Grandma gave me a press exactly like hers. Way back when, she must have ordered/recieved one, but as hers never broke (and still hasn't) she never used it. I'm so excited to try my hand at them myself for the first time this year.

Off topic question (sorry, don't know where else to ask) - for the BPS class do we have to use a WeR Memory Keepers album? Will the Pink Paislee refills fit in an American Crafts Modern album? That's the kind I usually use.

I'm pretty sure they will - I'd bet any 8.5x11 album will be just fine.
