A Big Thank You | Babble Mominee

Two weeks ago I learned that someone out there nominated me for a "The Moms Who Are Changing Your World" award in the inspiration category over at Babble. I was honored and humbled.

My passion continues to be telling the stories of everyday life and encouraging others to do the same in their own lives - celebrating & reflecting upon the good times, the challenging times, the heartbreaks and those totally awesome moments when we soar. I happen to do that with words and photos and sometimes a few cool products added in the mix.

The winner in each category of "The Moms Who Are Changing Your World" will be given $5000 to donate to the charity of their choice. If I'm one of the ten winners I'll donate 1/2 the money to Talk About Curing Autism (they were one of the first sites I turned to for information and support when Simon was diagnosed with autism back in 2004) and the other 1/2 to StoryCorps (an independent nonprofit whose mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives).

I'd love to have your vote. Click here and click the "like" button right under the "vote for me." Voting closes September 20th.

    oh Ali,
How I wish I could vote for you but it looks like the only way is through facebook (which I don't have---my job doesn't allow it)

None the less, you are a true inspiration to me as well as many many more!

    Good luck!

Voted for you! It's good to see such a wide range of women who are making a difference! My DS is also on the spectrum so I feel like a vote for you would be a vote for him and also a vote for the importance of stories.

I voted this evening. Is this one of those competitions where we can vote once a day?
