For The Love Of Pinterest
I tried to resist, I really did.
I thought, "I don't need another place to mess around online."
And maybe I still don't really need another place to visit online, but Pinterest is really serving a purpose.
The purpose is inspiration.
Color inspiration. Type inspiration. Memory keeping inspiration. Cooking inspiration. Clothing inspiration. Home inspiration. Inspiring words. And stuff I just love.
It's a site to categorize and keep all those inspiring ideas in one place.
I see things online I want to remember and I "pin" them to my "boards." This is my favorite way to use it - as a home for things I'd like to remember or revisit all in one place.
I also see other cool things people are "pinning" and "re-pin" them to my own boards for safe keeping.
My collection of inspiration is growing. And just like many things, I've already gone through a couple phases. Right now I'm in the "this is super great" phase especially as we head into the holiday season. A quick search for Fall or Halloween or Christmas brings up so many fun ideas and eye-candy.

I am absolutely addicted to Pinterest. I am on it now more than facebook or twitter and find it such a source of inspiration. With a 6 month old daughter it has given me great project ideas, decor everything you can think of it. I also have the mobile app which needs a bit of tweaking but is great for waits at the doc office or at lunch time!

I've been on Pinterest for a while and love it. I am a visual person and have found many wonderful Ideas for photography... I also collect quotes and have found so many on Pinterest. I've probably pinned close to 100.

yes and the very very best part is the iphone Pinterest app! GOTTA GET IT! it's perfect for sitting up in bed when I can't sleep.

I gave in about a month ago and I am so glad I did. It is really taking the place of the endless amounts of bookmarks I used to try and keep, but found pretty useless for actually finding the thing I wanted to remember when the time came. I like the visual nature of pinterest and the way it helps me see patterns in the things I'm attracted to. And it's great for putting together content for future blog posts.

I'm with you Ali. I wanted to resist, but Moxiefab from Papercrafts kept pinning all of these wonderful images and I couldn't resist. My latest thing is altered art. From t-shirts to cardboard boxes, there are some really cool images.

I love pinterest. I am finally completing projects and recipes I have seen online instead of forgetting where I saw them. I think I am going to start blogging the "pins " I have completes to keep track!

of course! i had a hard time getting invited for whatever reason. it was killing me for weeks that i couldn't pin things but now i'm good to go. i've pinned several things from your site that i knew i wanted to refer back to.

i love it because it has totally replaced my "ideas" folder of .jpgs from websites long forgotten. it is a huge time sucker for me though, i could get lost on there for hours.

I adore Pinterest! My favorite part is that there is an iPhone app and when I'm ready to scrap, I can easily grab my phone and look at my inspiration vs. having to drag my laptop in there (desk space is precious!) or print out something from my desktop (paper, ink, ack!!!) Love, love, love Pinterest!

Like you,I resisted for awhile, but I love it! I am always looking for new recipes and craft projects and this forum is great for that.I have discovered some great organizational ideas and some holiday projects. I like that I can "store" all these ideas in one place. I also just love looking at some of the beautiful pictures that are posted here. I find a sense of peace just looking at these gorgeous photos. It is a nice way to end a hectic day.

I too resisted the Pinterest. Initially I figured, what am I going to do with this? I can just make bookmarks. And then it happened. One of my friends (who invited me to Pinterest) started finding all these cute things that I knew I could make. After that it was on like Donkey Kong. Since last week I've been adding around 15 pins a day. It's very addictive.
