Here's two of the three sets of stamps that I'll be giving away:

Also, Hero Arts will also be giving away five prize packs that include brand new 2012 Catalog stamps. The five winners will be randomly chosen from ALL of the blog hop comments received by midnight PST on Monday, December 12, and will be announced on the Hero Arts blog shortly thereafter.

All the new stamps will be available on December 10th. Check out HeroArts.com for a store near you.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME HERE, WELCOME! Normally a process post like this would happen over on my Projects blog but since this one includes a giveaway it's happening here (and there's lots of December Daily goodness happening over there). If you'd like to learn more about my site check out my Welcome or About Ali pages.

Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:

Hello zig zag!

I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.

Here's a look at my process:

I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.

I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.

I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.

Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.

And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.

"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.

For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.

Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

Our favorite holiday tradition is as a family we paint ornaments for the tree. We have done this for four years now. It's so neat to see all of them hanging and the kids get so excited to seebthem every year.

I love all the little things as the kids get excited. Crafts all over, finding pom-poms everywhere, the constant rearranging of the ornaments, cookies, all of it!

My favorite thing this time of year is to unearth my seasonal display of snowmen and set them out "just so."

my family don't really have a fixed tradition. I guess just a simple gathering for the holidays as a get together would be a tradition? (: thanks for the chance!

My favorite holiday tradition is baking sugar cookie cutouts then decorating them. I remember making these as a child with my grandmother as well as my mom. Then when I became a mother, my children started decorating them with my mom. Now that my mom is gone, I cherish those times and I know that my children do as well. It seems that each of the cookie cutters has a story and when we cut the cookies out we relive the memories.

Every year I buy my boys an ornament. I try to find one that represents something going on in their lives. The first year I bought a divided box to keep the ornaments in and cut enough cards to get me through 18 years. So every year when I put the ornaments away I write the story about why I bought the ornament and the year. Now they have a box of memories, ornament style! We open the ornaments on Christmas Eve and add them to the tree. Definitely a favorite tradition! Thanks for the giveaway.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! I love that our holiday tradition each year is to watch our old home movies from the past. My father still uses his huuuuge camcorder from 1985 to document each Christmas together, so we always then watch the previous years' Christmas (and other) home movies...on VHS (my DH has transferred them to DVD, but my dad likes it old school).

My Christmas tree is my most favorite tradition. I love all the stories that it tells through decorations - from my grandparents, to my childhood, my marriage, and now about my kid.

Thank you for yet another fantastic give away. My favourite family tradition is a long waterfront walk on Christmas afternoon - after brunch and presents, before the big feast. We go outside in sunshine (in my memory Christmas Day is always sunny!) and come home after the sun has set, so we can admire all the lights. We walk for miles along the edge of the wind swept lake, working up a great appetite for dinner and spending time together, just us.

My favorite tradition is the hanging of the advent calendar, it's pockets full of candy for my kids. It is the same calendar my mom hung up every year for me and my siblings (and I am celebrating my 49th Christmas this year). It is a well loved advent calendar.

My favorite holiday tradition is reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" with my family. We either read it on Christmas Eve or the day before, depending on where my girls are spending Christmas (with me or their dad).

    Awesome stamps!
Our favorite tradition is Advent, I did not grow up Catholic and was unfamiliar with it until I got married to a Catholic and had children. Its such a wonderful thing to light those candles and remember the real Reason for the Season.

My favorite holiday tradition is getting to see my family, we are all spread out now but manage to wind up at someone's house each year. This year it's mine, so no traveling! Love your sweet layout and that zig zag stamp!

Love the stamps!!! My favorite Christmas tradition is simply sitting on couch with my family before bed with all the lights off & gazing at the Christmas tree with all the twinkling lights while Christmas music is playing softly in the background... so peaceful, so relaxing, so magical. Just try it! :)
