Wow! I started the same journal this year - and gave one to my mom. My grandma on my mom's side kept 5 year journals which we have. I often wonder what will happen to my things like that - as I have two boys. I suppose that's not something that should stop me from doing something like scrapbooks or creative projects.

    Ali,
You are one amazing woman. You give so much of yourself to your online followers, I know you have often inspired me and I don't recall ever taking the time to thank you. So thank you. I wish you new opportunities and many blessings for the new year!

I read the first issue and I love it. I wonder how you mange your time. It is very obvious how you keep yourself busy with your web site but I also find you a busy mom and wife. Thanks for the newsletter!

This is very exciting, Ali. I am thrilled that you are doing this; I follow your blog but didn't know about the newsletter. I am enjoying to read your written words; they are are nice complement to the artistic inspiration you provide in other ways. Thank you.

Like KSW above, I didn't know about your newsletter. Maybe there should be a link or something permanent on your blog about it instead of just mentioning it in a daily post. I subscribed and forwarded it to a friend who also subscribed. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for that feedback - it's actually listed over to the left under the "Get Connected" tab - currently it says "Join My Mailing List" - will be changing that to "Subscribe to my newsletter" to make it more clear :).

I have a question about the Hello 2012 template - do I need Silouette in order to download the templates and use them for Project Life?

I really want to start a blog as my creative practice this year. Ali I know you are super busy, but any ideas on how to start one? I have absolutely no idea how to even begin the process. As always thanks so much for inspiration!

I was so surprised when I received this in my inbox and even more surprised when I read it! The tone and content really spoke to me. A lot of disconnected ideas about projects, feelings and intentions became connected after reading your email. Thank you for having the vulnerability and courage to share your life with such heart. Thank you for providing me with a prompt to connect the dots on these aspects of my life. What seemed like a cute little creative project is evolving into so much more. I thought I needed to let you know, that you make a difference. May God Bless you and your family.

Thank you, Ali! You are so generous. I have a binder full of your newsletters from several years ago which I think have really helped me develop my ideas and scrapbooks. Looking forward to your upcoming newsletters!

Hi Ali - while looking at the first newsletter from your link in this post I have a simple request: Could you please make your font size larger? I dance & jog in place while reading email & blogs and increase the sizes of my computer pages with command + so I can see while standing. Your font is so small even increasing 4 times it's still tiny, and by then the page is huge, so I need to scroll sideways to read. Ok, just went back to the online page & tested it again - the images increase in size but not the font, so maybe it's an RSS page issue. Tried with the newsletter in my email box (the 2nd one arrived) & it does increase. Maybe this won't be an issue...ha.... thanks!

I've been Thinking a lot the last two weeks about Brene Brown's work on vulnerability and authenticity, and am having trouble deciding between the two. My gut says to choose vulnerability, but I'm worried because the other words people choose seem more positive. In this case, Brene makes a great case that vulnerability is what opens us to joy, creativity and love. Does anyone have experience choosing a tough word?

You inspire me to journal like no other. I have been turning to your books and blog for journaling ideas for years now. Without your prompts I'm the one who journals the simple, 'Joe and Jake playing with legos. I'm so greatful for your wonderful insight in telling the stories of life. Thank you for inspiring me.
