My word(s) for the year is: Kitchen Table. For real. I know it's two words, I know it's a noun, but I'm really, really excited about all that it means to me this year. I just wrote about it at www.beccagroves.blogspot.com and can't wait to live this one out.

    Thanks for the list!

My word for 2012 is: CARE.

I want to take better care of myself.
I need to give some tender loving care to the people I love.
I hope to handle the challenges of this year with care.

My OLW 2011 was ACT. I fell off the bandwagon in May....
This year I MUST find a source of income. The basement finishing fund has allowed us to float for quite awhile - but the end is in sight.

Didn't see mine on the list, so I'll add it here. "Maximize." I plan to maximize my adventures, my relationships, my experiences/opportunities, my fitness... and so much else about my life.

    Happy New Year Ali!

    My word is SELECTIVE.

In 2012 I want to be more SELECTIVE where my money goes, where I shop, how I spend my time, who gets my time, what I eat, how I use my energy and on and on.

    Forge:

    1) To move ahead with increased speed and effectiveness
(I feel like I've been stuck in a rut this past year)

    2) To form or make, especially by concentrated effort
(I'm going to make a concentrated effort to do more crafty things AND forge new ties)

My word is VENTURE. I need to stop playing it so safe...push the envelope a little more (ok...a lot more). Doing more art and not being afraid to put it out there where people can see it. I hope I can stick to it!

My One Little Word for 2012 is PREPARE.

It came to me one day and immediately I thought of the scripture: "Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God."

I want to prepare every physical thing (ie. be more organized, plan ahead, etc), but mostly, I want to prepare my heart to invite the Lord's Spirit to dwell. I know that if I invite Him, my life will be blessed with peace - in my heart, home, and family.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

I have chosen F E E L - as in feel peace, feel joy, feel deeply, feel profoundly, feel even stronger than I know possible! I love the Hokey Pokey, though, it goes right along with my reasoning. :) It may be my caption line :)

My word is *true*. As in being true. True to what is in my heart. True to the woman I would like to be. True to how my kids see me. True as in matching words and actions to what is inside, and making the inside match what I speak. Genuine. Authentic. Real. True.

But I love that hokey pokey one, too! How wonderful that is.

Thanks, Ali, and everyone else, for sharing!
