My word for 2012 is SLOW - I recognise a need in myself to take things more slowly. The word was slow in coming to me too - it wasn't until I was driving somewhere behind a slow vehicle and I realised I was quite enjoying the more relaxed pace.
Thanks, Ali, for publishing the compilation of words - as always it is an inspiring
    read.

Vitality. My word for 2012 is "vitality."

Vitality of mind. Of body. Of spirit.

    "ALL"

Loving God with ALL my heart, soul, and mind...and my neighbor as myself (Matthew 22:37-40).

Love it! Always so fun to come back and see what everyone else has chosen for 2012... lots of words I could have picked! You can see my post about what one little word has done for me over the years here, http://heathersharmony.typepad.com/heathers-harmony/2012/01/one-little-word.html

My word is "Begin". I got divorced last year and I am ready to begin the new chapter of my life. "Just begin and all the rest will fall into place". It's a time of new beginnings for me, of leaving the old life behind, all the hurts and the bad emotions of 2011. I want 2012 to be a metamorphasis of sorts for me. I am ready to begin again with no regrets and look to the future.

My word is Capture. I want to try and capture more of our everyday stories and not feel like time is flying by with only a little evidence of what we were doing each day.

My word for 2012 is REDEFINE. There are changes I am choosing to make and am excited about regarding my health and taking on new career challenges. There are changes that are happening naturally and I adore, as my daughter grows from a baby into a toddler! And there are changes that have been thrust upon me, as I've been a primary caregiver and advocate for my mom and her medical needs for the past few years but she passed away this December. So this year, I will redefine myself a bit, both personally and professionally.

Compassion. For myself when I make mistakes. For my children when they're driving me crazy :) my coworkers, friends and strangers. Even the bad drivers. This is my year to practice compassion in a real and meaningful way.

my word has changed :) I am going to have the word "accept" instead of trust ...I need to accept a lot of things in my life so my OLW can help me move forwards with that ...

Is it too late to add my word? My word finally settled on me: tide
My zodiac sign is Aquarius and this year I have so many changes coming that I know of (can't imagine what I don't!) and tide being the ebb and flow of the oceans just seems to fit. Whew...feeling a little bit teary...looking forward to OLW. Off to join the BPC class. Thanks, Ali for being so brave and generous with your talents and gifts!

I have decided to pick the word SENSE. I liked this word because in my job and around me a need to and want to understand how the people around me feel. I also want to become aware of what God is doing in my life. I feel that SENSE is a great word to sum up what I would like to experience and see in the New Year!

I read an incredible blog post today on parenting - in particular the challenge of it - and in doing so my "One Little Word" found me. It is kairos, meaning "the appointed time in the purpose of God." In 2012 i will seek to recognize and differentiate between chronos time and kairos time - being mindful and thankful for the latter most of all. You can find the post here: http://momastery.com/blog/2012/01/04/2011-lesson-2-dont-carpe-diem/ It has had over 30,000 shares on Facebook at this point - for a good reason!
