The Simple Act Of Making Pictures

I saw this quote on Meredith Winn's blog this week. Her photos seriously inspire me. Love this sentiment - it's a great reminder as we get ready for Week In The Life next week.

Elise also had a great post on her blog the other day: Tips For Fun Everyday Photos. Wonderful inspiration.

I think I might do the week in the life this year. My first time. Not sure why I'm feeling nervous about it (maybe because my life is a merry-go-round of the exact same thing revolving around my 3 babies). Thanks for the inspo!

    Hi Ali,
Love the quote but more importantly love...love your handwriting! I feel it has a lot of power in it. I like to see anything in your writing.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Rama.

Thanks for sharing Elise's blog ... was thinking that a week in my life would yield some rather boring photos, but her camera viewpoint has given me some great ideas!

    Ali,

I started visiting your blog this week, but I am completely hooked. Your Week In The Life project as inspired me to start blogging again. I started taking pictures a couple days ago, and Elises' blog definitely had great tips too. Can't wait to see how my week in the life turns out:)

I love this quote! I noticed you had it on pinterest this morning when I got up. And Elise's post is quite good! I've already copied the list to use for ideas for the week in the life next week. I think I'll use this quote in the project too... Maybe as the back page.

    Hi ALi,

This quote said it so clearly! Love it can be my mantra because I tend to berate the photos I take, the camera is just a point and shoot and you should have checked the background, yadda yadda yadda...I say I need a photography class yadda yadda yadda....so to see this quote is excellent for me to keep in mind. Having experienced WITL last year, and December Daily, and one little word, all gave new insights that I never expected. It goes without saying the process made me aware of actions, time management, the mundane things like washing clothes or errands...I never realized how revealing the project teach me new awareness.

    blessings hugs,

This is definitely resonating with me as I finish prepping for this Week in The Life...and in other areas of my life. Find myself lately in a rut, reading, surfing and taking classes, but not much doing. Changing that up today!

Gosh, I really loved this quote. Sometimes I get so hung up in trying to take the 'perfect' photo or catching the right light, that I miss the photo opportunity all together. Thanks for this!
