Everyday Eclectic Blog Hop & Giveaway

I was super excited to get an email from Allison Kreft inviting me to play along in a blog hop & giveaway celebrating her new line Everyday Eclectic from Echo Park Papers.

Allison's new line is fun and happy - perfect for documenting a wide variety of stories. You can check out the full collection here.

Here's a look at how I used some of the papers and stickers to create a 2-page, 8.5x11 layout:

A closer look at each page:

I printed my photo 8.5x11 (using my Epson R2000) and added a couple of stickers from the Echo Park Everyday Eclectic 12X12 Alpha Stickers. A bit of stitching was added to repeat the stitching on the second page.

And the second page:

I started with a blank sheet of 8.5x11 paper and then I printed this brush onto the background via Photoshop: Thick Journal Lines Brushes & Stamps.

Then I used some great old stamps from Studio Calico (the script one - I have heard from a very reliable source that this stamp set will make an appearance again in the coming months) and some letter stencils (that I think are from Fiskars) along with some chalk ink.

The pattern papers I used include Half Circle 12X12 and Kraft Wood 12X12. I cut the pattern papers to fit inside the printed lines and then stitched them in place with my sewing machine.

Here's a closer look at the stitching on pattern paper:

Love how this page turned out!

The page is fabulous. What I have always liked about your style is that you are not afraid to show us how much you journal. I would give anything to have just one page of what my Mother was thinking on any specific day. Thank you for sharing.

The way you tell the little things in your layouts that will mean so much when Anna gets older and gets to look back at all the details you included will mean so much to her. And the way you put it all together just comes out so delightful.
