September Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Studio AE/Technique Tuesday September blog hop.

In addition to the blog hop today this week we are celebrating the 2-year anniversary of Studio AE. Lots of cool stuff happening over on the Technique Tuesday blog this week.

This month's Studio AE stamp set is Celebrate Fall:

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKER? This stamp set is also available as a digital package through Designer Digitals.

Here's a look at my 12x12 layout:

For those of you that have been around a long time you might be shocked that I've used a different color other than white for my base cardstock.

And I'm loving working on the diagonal.

I started off printing five photos here at home using the Epson PictureMate Show printer - love it for all my 4x6 prints (and it prints the border with the click of a button).

After that I trimmed off the edges of the photos and ended up adding pattern paper and an overlay to the edges, filling in the space on the cardstock background.

Stamping ink on my photos this month is StazOn Pumpkin.

Alongside the stamping on the photo above I did a stitched line with my sewing machine and then wrote  just a bit of journaling on the photo using a Precision Pen.

The little tabs above the photos are a combination of tabs from Jenni Bowlin and word stickers from October Afternoon (thrift shop).

Yellow pattern paper is from Amy Tangerine/American Crafts.

I added a little office supply store date stamp below the sentiment stamp and drew a few lines between the words.

I like stamping & writing on my photos.

These letter stickers are some older ones (I think since I couldn't find them online) from American Crafts/Studio Calico.

This yellow diagonal overlay is from my stash of Hambly (miss you).

Wow, this is VERY different. In fact, I thought you were using a layout from someone else! lol. But the white border is so you! :) I'm inspired.

Fall is my favorite time of year, and living in Florida I don't see a lot of change between summer and fall. I love the photo of the pumpkin patch!

Ah, Fall! Still trying to figure out how to fake it here in FL. Luckily we do have pumpkin patches - our pics just feature shorts and tee shirts instead of cozy fall sweaters. It's all good.

I'd never think to put the photos on diagonal and trim the edges, but I really like the look! The stamps would get a lot of use in this house. Thanks for a chance to win.

Congratulations Ali on your 2 year anniversary. I discovered your sets about 6 months into it so have the majority of them. I now pull those out in the planning stages of a layout to see what will work. Love them! I like the diagonal photos, just a fun look.

Such a great idea to do a layout on the diagonal 'side of life' every once in awhile. I think I am going to add that to my project list soon. LOVE the stamps, but what else is new. I love, love, love every.single.Ali.E.stamp.set.that.I.own! And the best part- I USE them all the time. Woo hoo!
