Welcome to the February Studio AE Blog Hop From Technique Tuesday.

Technique Tuesday offers a monthly stamp club that features a limited edition stamp set designed by me each month. You can check out past stamp sets (some are still available) here.

Say hello to the stamp set I designed for this month: Best Banners

DIGITAL MEMORY KEEPER? Check out a similar versions here: Banner Me Vol. 1, Banner Me Vol. 2, and Banner Me Vol. 3.

Here's a look at the layout I created using this stamp set:

AE_LoveThisLife_Spread

This layout is a 2-page, 8.5 inch x 11 inch spread that includes a full page photo.

Back in December I wondered if I would ever using gold glitter embossing powder again since I'd used it so much in my December Daily album.

Well, I used it again. And I still like it. It worked great along with this month's stamp set on top of cream cardstock. I cut each one out after embossing and adhered them to the background cardstock with foam squares on the second page of the spread.

And for those of you keeping score, I used a doily for the first time here. And I liked it.

White letter stickers are from Simon Says Stamp and the little star is from Studio Calico's Thataway collection.

The gold doily is from a past Studio Calico kit (looks like they might carry them in the shop but are sold out at this time). I cut one in quarters and added two of them here and stitched a portion of a cream cardstock circle right on top.

I added a bit of stitching to each corner design using my Brother Sewing machine.

Pattern paper strip is from BasicGrey's new Fresh Cut collection - this one's called Poppy Lane.

As you can see I added some fun stuff between the white dot vellum (found at Michael's) and the cream cardstock on the top and bottom of the second page. I basically looked around my desk to see what small embellishments I could add - you could call it a way of cleaning up. It ended up being a combination of little plastic stars and hearts from Heidi Swapp's Mixed Company die cut collection. After adding those pieces I stitched it all up to keep them inside.

The "today" transparent die cut is from Heidi Swapp's Mixed Company die cut collection. I stitched it right onto the photo.

AE_LoveThisLife_Journaling

My journaling and the lines were hand-drawn in the space next to the three flag stamps. I used the points and the indent section of the flag as the starting place for each line.
